RE: Ban live export trade- today is National call your MP day

It's quite simple really, people need to mind their own business, ie: do the best in the industry of choice and keep their head down, do a hard days work and get paid.
When everyone else sticks their beaks into someone else's business, it becomes a one way political hot potato where the only person who will win are the lobby groups.
Maybe the govt would have been better off spending the $30mil in compensation to farmers on new stun guns and educating the slaughter men in Indonesia rather than closing down a profitable export industry for months and effecting farmers livelyhoods due to a political lobby group on Q&A.

RE: I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, "Are men wary of a woman with kids?(infant or school age) Do we have a less ch

sounds worse than a lobotomy

RE: Ban live export trade- today is National call your MP day

because they have no sense of reality, ie: even the retailers are failing and closing stores so where will everyone work once environmentalists close down all of the non green enterprises? Maybe we all just end up like Greece with more people on pensions and the dole than working?

RE: Ban live export trade- today is National call your MP day

i find it highly offensive that so few can make so many suffer job losses, loss of income and their business all in the name of their right and everything else is wrong.
It will be interesting to see how we go when the holes we dig the gold out of are empty.
What are we supposed to trade with when the logging is closed down by Anaconda in Tassie?
Who will pay our pension and how will we be cash flow positive as a country if we turn into a net importer like many other failing countries around the globe who listened to their green Carbon Tax electors and closed down any power hungry smelters and sent them offshore to where carbon hungry power was still cheap.

RE: Ban live export trade- today is National call your MP day

I watched the world's biggest ships about the vessel that transports bullocks to Indonesia, the largest ship of its type. The cows go onboard in worse condition than they come off, air cooling and fume removal systems, fresh water and regular feed. Stock handlers from Aus watch the cattle and issolate any cattle that may infect other cattle of are just lame but isolate them to be safe and give them extra hay and feed to recondition them.

Personally, the people supporting these crack pot schemes to remove any industry where we bring $$$ into our poor old country would be happy if every coal mine was closed down, if every cotton farm refused water, if Uranium exports were stopped and all Murray/Darling irrigation shutdown.
Now we don't sell anything o/seas where do we get the $$$ to buy the imports we love so much?

RE: I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, "Are men wary of a woman with kids?(infant or school age) Do we have a less ch

the answer is footloose and fancy free are not going to be the thing if you have kids and this is the problem.
Guys who have kids to will be the most accomodating to date.

I think Krista and Jimbob's business is their own. The point here is the OP's thread topic, don't individualize the characters to personalize it. Use your own experiences and leave the personal pickings to themselves.

RE: Solving Problems in Australia

Just drop the stinking interest rates so that the silly 2 speed economy can go back to spending rather than everybody saving and retailers struggling to keep staff on or going under.
Maybe just put the interest rates up in the Mining states and leave the other states on lower rates?

Ovaltine or Aldi chocolate drink mix will do

12 months on and can't wait for the divorce.
Went through the sad sack times, angry times, etc...
Moved on now and getting on with being a happy chappy.
How I feel about her now is I hope she finds a good father to my kids and happiness as if she's happy, they will be too.

RE: I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, "Are men wary of a woman with kids?(infant or school age) Do we have a less ch

that sucks big time, I know there's a biological thing stopping the dad hurting his own blood, but they do seem to overstep the mark when it comes to step kids which is sad. Yes they should treat their step kids like their own but it rarely happens and when it does, that's when there are happy families all around.

RE: I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, "Are men wary of a woman with kids?(infant or school age) Do we have a less ch

I'm sure there's a brady bunch scenario going there in Toomby somewhere. The hard thing is picking a dude who doesn't like you for your kids as the last thing you kids need is a kiddie abuser. i couldn't go with a gal who turned out to be a wicked step mum to my kids when they're with me

RE: I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, "Are men wary of a woman with kids?(infant or school age) Do we have a less ch

Kids need to be kids, adults need to share adult problems with other adults, these forums are a good place to share them.idea

RE: I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, "Are men wary of a woman with kids?(infant or school age) Do we have a less ch

There are people who say outright in their profile that they've been through the kid thing and are now having me time so if you have kids forget it, move on to the next profile. They are hot too crying

RE: I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, "Are men wary of a woman with kids?(infant or school age) Do we have a less ch

i see my kids 5 days out of 14, finding time to be with someone else who always has their kids is difficult unless your weekends align.
If the kids have regular contact, there's is no chance of moving to your new partners home if it's a long distance from your ex unless your ex is willing to forgo regular contact with his kids. I know I wouldn't be willing to go without the regular contact with my kids so it's a local lassie or nobody.

RE: carbon tax

I agree with Bolt on the anti desal thing in Vic, we have more water than we know what to do with, even letting it out of Eildon in case the heavier stuff falls when it usually does in Spring. But hey, lets build the worlds biggest desalination plant. Andrew Bolt was going on about daming the Mitchell or Macalister rivers because they flood and cause so much insurance claims from flood damage. Oh no, the Greens were rabbiting on about climate change and how it would never rain again. 3 floods later and all that fresh water just keeps exiting the Gippsland lakes out to sea while the monster Wonthaggi desal plant continues on day and night at any cost to be completed on time for what? t o sit there for the next 50 years as a massive white elephant that could have built 20 hospitals, a high speed 300km/hr train to Sydney and still had change left over to give everyone in Australia a free water tank. Really looking forward to paying $400 year for the next 30 years to pay for the idiotic folly.
Other than that, I only agree with Andrew on his opinion about the Carbon Tax.

RE: carbon tax

They would have been better off introducing a carbohyrates tax, that would stuff the fatties up.
