The map you drew me was outstanding , Monte...so of course I found it. I think the X gave it away. I struggled with the ' take twenty five steps from the palm tree' , but once I found the tree... I knew that I was on the right track.

The first time I went to the US was about twelve years ago, and it had been a great many years between visits. The last trips I made were in 2009, and the security has changed. The atmosphere has changed in the airports... it was always serious, but there is this pervading sense of being watched for any wrong move you may make. With or without the security, I enjoyed my visits there. I hope to return one day... I have so much more to see there.

I hope your Memorial services are respected over the weekend and Americans can remember what they lost in peace.

I still remember the shock as the news reverberated around the world. We stood there watching news reports, reading the headlines on our newspapers in utter disbelief that it occurred.

Watching Americans come together in this tragedy , and unite in their patriotism ... it was incredible to behold. The world united in sympathy over the tragedy that was 9/11. It essentially changed much in the world around us today.

I understand that drive that forces us to slumber. A shift worker? Hmmm... Do tell... or wait, don't. I am curious, but if you wanted to divulge what you do, I am sure you would.

I am staying in a resort in Thailand, a five star, but that was the girl's choice. And er... I have booked a five star for a few days in New Zealand...but the pillows are sooooooooo much better in them.

I am usually happy with something average too, although by choice, the night I fly in... I like good pillows.

I haven't been inspired to go to sporting venues, however... I am told that one day I simply must to experience the atmosphere.
