I think we do it all too often. Some people think they know more/better than everyone else. Often people are overly critical, and they would do well to take a look in the mirror prior to launching critical attacks on others.
Actually, many of us are guilty of this, to a degree.
I don't know much about a God complex, though … there are the bible thumpers; I have some in my family.
I suppose the point is, there will always be those who believe they are smarter and better than others. Some are just more vocal about it, while others sit silently looking down on people and making whatever judgments within their own minds.
I already not only copied your idea, but also tried to obtain a copyright for the idea from Somebody … Then, Anybody told me I needed to convert that idea into something tangible, first.

Well, since I'm of Greek heritage, I used to eat a lot of Gyros with lamb. My Yiayia made them regularly. Nowadays, I prefer the chicken Gyros, more often than not. Thanks for asking and have mercy on me …
Doesn't happen to me much at all, but it definitely and unfortunately isn't a "strange" occurrence on the world wide web. The key is to beware of scammers - they're a dime a dozen round here.
