People in a room with me who are sniffling, sneezing, blowing their noses, and constantly hacking … I always hope and pray that they are just suffering from bad allergies …
When others do it they are also seen as nasty, or witty, or ironic, etc.
Without any vocal inflection, as in "hearing" a tone of voice, sarcasm is a quick way for people to be misunderstood. However, even with having the element of vocal inflection, there is - of course - room for misunderstanding.
Many times, I tend to be a sarcastic person. People either misunderstand me and make whatever judgment, or they "get it" and have a sense of appreciation, because they too, possess a sarcastic streak.
Sarcasm is subjective. People think you are either being a jerk, or they find humor in it. I suppose there is a middle ground tossed into the mix, as well.
You just can't please all the people, all the time.
Awesome. I do mine at home because I live in the middle of nowhere, and to physically go to a class it would take a lot longer, compared to just doing it at home.
Never been to an actual yoga class, but I do yoga at home. Getting the best out of it means to keep an open mind and relax - at least, for me. I really like Rodney Yee. Very calming …
People will always find some fault or another, in other people. That's life. I try to accept people for who they are, to the best of my ability. That said, some people are not my cup of tea - so to speak - and I am not theirs, either. No problem.
There are those in my life who do accept me for who I am, and those are the people closest to me. I have many faults, and I know this. It's okay if people don't accept me for who I am. Acceptance is subjective.
