Interesting … However, I'd rather just use my oven. The last microwave brownie I had was pretty gross. Besides, I prefer to make brownies from scratch, rather than a box-mix.
Good for your friend! That's great … Very true - we must save them!!! It takes some diligence (they are prone to invaders/diseases of all sorts) but it's well worth the effort.
Awww … thank you and you're welcome. You're right, people don't really realize that … My bees are thriving; extremely happy and healthy. It's so neat to watch them come back to the hive after foraging, with their little legs all covered with different colored pollen. Very cool, indeed.
It is very delicious and healthy. I use the honey I harvest on a daily basis … And if I start feeling under the weather, I (literally) take a spoonful of honey.
I've made lots of candles, but have never made beeswax ones … I'm seriously looking forward to it. I'm a big fan of candles. You're right - the beeswax ones don't emit that black, putrid smelling smoke.
The honey I harvest from my bees is very interesting, as each batch has it's own unique flavor, depending on the different types of pollen/nectar the bees have gathered. It's super duper yummy and has umpteen uses!
Well, having played golf since I was 10 years old, I can tell you that it does take a lot of practice and patience. Most importantly, you must keep your eye on the ball and follow through with your swing. My Yiayia was also a golf pro; she used to give lessons back in the day. She still golfs, and she's turning 91 next month! Another tip: hit a bucket of balls on the range prior to heading out for your 9 or 18 holes.
It is fascinating, Molly … it's so rewarding. Not to mention (even though I'll mention it anyway) the honey I harvest is incredibly divine and the uses for it are endless. I don't even have to wear protective gear (I've never been stung; they know I mean them no harm) … bees learn facial recognition and have an excellent sense of smell. I'll hopefully be making some beeswax candles this winter, which I'm stoked about.
