Two "Alpha's" in a relationship ... (70)
RedHeadedTaurus: So my friend was complaining the other day about the fact that she is in a relationship with an Alpha guy, and she was fretting about butting heads with him due to the fact that she considers herself to also be an Alpha.
She was telling me that she didn't think the relationship would last because they are both Alpha's, and neither one of them is willing to give up control, etc.
Isn't it more about compatibility, putting in the effort (and your ego aside), working together, compromising, and picking and choosing your battles? Or do you think, like my friend, that two Alpha's in a relationship are doomed?

think so my mom n dads marriage last 12 yrs.both were strong willed.She was telling me that she didn't think the relationship would last because they are both Alpha's, and neither one of them is willing to give up control, etc.

I don't know why people put labels like alpha on themselves on the first place. It is almost as if they have to keep up with the image then
If a couple respect each other, and value the other person's knowledge and experience, then there should not be a problem. Nobody is good at absolutely everything. Couples who work well make good use of each other's strengths.
If they are just pigheaded and stubborn, they should call it that, and not mask it in the alpha label.

I agree with you 100%. And that's essentially what I told my friend. Having said that, she tends to regularly "mask" a lot of terms pertaining to personality traits. It does get annoying …
Aside from that, she's a good friend to me, even though I sometimes want to strangle her.

That totally depends on the nature of the disagreement. Any alpha will adapt to the little things because of don’t sweat the small stuff. The amazon woman will to some extent impersonate the girly girl if this gets her the man she wants and he too would not be ashamed about his feminine side.
The alpha is not somebody who demands everything to be on their own terms it’s somebody who adapts with the stormy billows of life. However, do we raise our kids catholic or do we raise them atheist is something two alphas could easily fight over.
