Admiring and respecting vulnerability; being sensitive and kind towards others; observing and understanding them helps us know ourselves better as well, because within that dimension we get to experience who are also to an extent we might not have known before. In the case of being a woman I feel we have many vulnerabilities, some of a personal nature and others simply because we are women.
You behaved appropriately given the circumstances, especially since alcohol was also involved and there's a professional relationship involved as well. I have never crossed that line myself.
