Let me ask... if an employee of a bank hacked the secrets of bank and then gave them to the public, because he felt the people has a right to know what was going on in the bank .... would that be considered theft? would it be a criminal act? or a whistleblower? Common sense suggests that people would be concerned for the safety of their money in those banks turning it over to the hands of criminals./quote]
Hi JeanKimberley,
Banks are private entities and its management is not elected by US voters.
I believe that since 2001, the Patriot Act signed into law by G. W. Bush, there has been an erosion of Civil Liberties and a blatant desecration of the The Fourth Amendment safeguarding against illegal searches and seizures. That law, under the pretext of safeguarding people against terrorism, it gave a "carte blanche" to investigate anyone on suspicion alone. Since then, it is utilized in a broader sweep and no one is safe in the privacy of his home. There is no expectation of privacy on the Internet, but everyone phone conversations and who knows, private postal mail? Right now, the government is crying foul and started a campaign of disinformation about Snowden. But this is not all about Snowden, it is about the betrayal of the US government toward its people, the Constitution they swore to uphold and its allies. With this policy in place, soon we will be under a police state like the Stasi. Lets not forget that with all its resources, they were unable to ferret out the communications of the Boston Bombers.
If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.
They did that around East Germany Conrad, and they wanted to leave. Chinese proverb: "Marriage is like a besiege fortress. Everyone on the outside want to get in and everyone in the inside want to get out."
North Korea will be more than happy to welcome you with open arms. I hear American defectors are well treated if they are willing to condemn their own government.
To me, it all depends on the 20 and 60 year old. I've seen women over 50 that not too many 20 year old would surpass in beauty. Also, some older women have an internal beauty that a physical one cannot match.
"Katie Couric had a facelift to keep up "youthful appearance" . The plastic surgery lifted her cheeks and jaw line to reduce her sagging face. She also had some Botox injections around the eyes, forehead, and cheek area to reduce wrinkles."
"Overall, it pegged the "civilian" unemployment rate of all workers 16 and older at 8.1 percent. It said that foreigner workers, legal and illegal, total 25 million and comprise 16.1 percent of the total U.S. workforce. More foreign-born workers are employed in the service industry than American-born workers. Also, foreigners earn less: American-born workers earn an average of $797 a week compared to $625 for foreign-born workers."
IMHO, you should exercise a little more patience in the situation. No need to bail out or put undue pressure as you would appear to be the difficult one. As you said in previous Forum posts, you find yourself lucky to have found him. Give the young lady time to adapt to the situation as I doubt it is easy for her to have a new person in her life. A little patience and understanding might take you a long way. Best of luck to you.
