That is an interesting point actually. Turkey is hell bent on becoming part of the EU, so how they deal with those involved will be interesting. The EU, quite rightly will not accept "kangaroo courts" or the death penalty.
I have just read that Turkey has the largest army in Europe. If that is the case, then why did the coup fail? Why did so few of the military join the coup? It appears to have been a very weak effort considering the might of there army. Erdogan is not popular
