Irrespective whether the parents were good parents, or her cat got ran over, or her age, the officer acted in a totally unprofessional manner. If there was a need to eject her, which it appears may have be the case, as it seems she was not going to comply, then by using safe techniques, she could have been ejected. Apart from her attitude she was not a physical threat and therefor his actions were well in excess of what was required. As far as the childish comment made regards all police officers all over the world being thugs, then lets disband the police services around the world and see what happens.
No jail, fined. This has been blown out of proportion because of the current situation. What she did was wrong, and it is also wrong when it happens on a Saturday night in the street after the pubs have closed. Would the perpetrator who did this on the street at night be jailed? No, they would be fined, and so should she.
I have my kilt on already! I know Scotland has an uphill struggle, but even if they lose, if they show the grit and courage that Wales did then I shall be proud they got to where they did.
I can see you have very strong feelings about this subject. May I suggest you go to Syria and let them know how you feel, explain to them your concerns. I will happily pay for the ticket.
