Well, the newly elected Congresswoman AOC has put her socialist agenda above her constituents in her district. New Yorkers are not happy!
Amazon has withdrawn its plan for operations that would have provided 25,000 jobs in her district.
She is rejoicing in her victory against capitalism. Amazon jobs have an average annual pay of $157,000.

People, this is what happens when you don't Vote! AOC won her election because only 4% of the people voted!

I myself agree that large corporations need to pay their share of taxes. Tax laws need to be changed. Personally I think we need to implement a flat tax. Regardless, people need to work, they need jobs and companions like Amazon provide them.

Consider how much this hurts New Yorkers. The population of the 5 counties surrounding NYC is greater than the population of the remaining entirety of the U.S. These people need good jobs!

If anyone Needs to be impeached, it's Alexandria Ocasio Cortex! I am sick of seeing her being promoted by msm as the new star. I am tired of hearing her big mouth speaking stupidity. Who can stop cows from farting? Might be a good place to put her mouth. Let her absorb some of her idiocy!

It's nice to know that y'all think of me and miss me when I am away.

Many of you do not know that I have two 12 year olds in my custody and I homeschool them both.
They take up much of my time. I also work for my brother part-time as his office manager, in another
State, so we do travel quite often.
We recently made curriculum changes and have been settling in with that. No one has been sick, not even a sniffle, we are very healthy and all is well.

I am sorry for not checking in as I should. I will try to be more attentive in the future.

Obamacare ruled unconstitutional by federal judge in Texas

FOX NEWS - The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, was struck down by a Texas judge on Friday, a move that could suddenly disrupt the health insurance status of millions of Americans. The decision comes amid a six-week open enrollment period for the program.

Texas, along with 19 states, had argued to U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor that they had been hurt by a jump in the amount of people utilizing state-backed insurance. When Congress cut the tax penalty from the program in 2017, the states claimed, it essentially undercut the Supreme Court’s reasoning for finding former President Barack Obama’s signature legislation constitutional in 2012.

“The remainder of the ACA is non-severable from the individual mandate, meaning that the Act must be invalidated in whole,” O’Connor wrote, according to Bloomberg. O'Connor is a conservative Republican appointee who previously blocked other Obama-era policies.

"As I predicted all along, Obamacare has been struck down as an UNCONSTITUTIONAL disaster," President Trump tweeted following the ruling. "Now Congress must pass a STRONG law that provides GREAT healthcare and protects pre-existing conditions. Mitch and Nancy, get it done!"

In a second tweet, the president declared the ruling to be "great news for America!"

California and other states ruled against by the judge will challenge the decision by appealing in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

“Today’s ruling is an assault on 133 million Americans with pre-existing conditions, on the 20 million Americans who rely on the A.C.A.’s consumer protections for health care, on America’s faithful progress toward affordable health care for all Americans,” Xavier Becerra, California’s attorney general, said in a statement, according to The New York Times. “The A.C.A. has already survived more than 70 unsuccessful repeal attempts and withstood scrutiny in the Supreme Court.”

“Obamacare has been struck down by a highly respected judge," White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement.

"The judge’s decision vindicates President Trump’s position that Obamacare is unconstitutional," Sanders continued. "Once again, the President calls on Congress to replace Obamacare and act to protect people with preexisting conditions and provide Americans with quality affordable healthcare. We expect this ruling will be appealed to the Supreme Court. Pending the appeal process, the law remains in place.”

Democratic leaders, meanwhile, reacted harshly to the decision.

"The ruling seems to be based on faulty legal reasoning and hopefully it will be overturned," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., tweeted. "Americans who care about working families must do all they can to prevent this district court ruling from becoming law."

“While the district court’s absurd ruling will be immediately appealed, Republicans are fully responsible for this cruel decision and for the fear they have struck into millions of families across America who are now in danger of losing their health coverage," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said in a statement. "When House Democrats take the gavel, the House of Representatives will move swiftly to formally intervene in the appeals process to uphold the life-saving protections for people with pre-existing conditions and reject Republicans’ effort to destroy the Affordable Care Act.”

The Soros operations are highly sophisticated and work across academia, the legal system, labor, agriculture and “social justice” organizations as well as religious and political groups. Key personnel in the multi-faceted OSF network are former American government officials known to leverage their status and access to benefit the OSF’s goals. The report identifies a number of them, including Barack Obama’s Domestic Policy Council Director, Cecilia Muñoz, who currently serves on OSF’s U.S. Programs board and OSF President Patrick Gaspard, Director of Political Affairs in the Obama White House and the U.S. Ambassador to South Africa. Others include OSF Director of Global Security Denis Reynolds, a former Supervisory Special Agent with the Diplomatic Security Service at the State Department, and OSF Senior Policy Advisor Emily Renard, a former State Department Foreign Service Officer and Africa Policy Officer.

OSF-funded groups reportedly promoting, organizing and supporting the illegal immigrant caravan that started in Honduras are also identified in the report. Many of the leftist groups also get hefty sums from Uncle Sam. They include the Catholic Legal Immigration Network (CLINIC), the American Constitution Society, Centro para la Acción Legal en Derechos Humanos (Center for Legal Action in Human Rights, CALDH) and a multitude of others, including those named in a special report published by Judicial Watch earlier this year focusing on OSF in Guatemala. The big question is, why are American taxpayers funding Soros and his highly politicized OSF. Judicial Watch will continue investigating and litigating to get answers.

Ocasio-Cortez Shows Up at Pelosi’s Office and Instantly Becomes Nightmare for Dem. Leader

Imagine being so far to the left that you make Nancy Pelosi seem moderate and stable.

That’s the position that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is now in. The self-described New York socialist who pulled off a surprise win for Congress hasn’t even taken office yet, but she’s already managed to make enemies within her own party.

On Tuesday, just a week after the midterm election, Ocasio-Cortez appeared in Washington but acted more like an “antifa” activist than a responsible national lawmaker. Flanked by far-leftist protesters, the congresswoman-elect gave a proverbial middle finger to Rep. Pelosi.

Yes, the same Pelosi who is the party leader and is likely be the top ranking member of Congress in a few short months.

“Ocasio-Cortez joined a group of young activists called the ‘Sunrise Movement’ in staging a sit-in protest outside the Capitol Hill office of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the House Minority Leader and, come January, the likely Speaker of the House — and Ocasio-Cortez’s new boss,” reported The Daily Wire.

As the raucous protesters blocked the entrance to Pelosi’s government office, Ocasio-Cortez encouraged and interacted with the mob of around 50 people, who vaguely demanded a “Green New Deal” and “Green Jobs For All.”

Ah yes, democratic socialism in 2018: Impossibly calling for magical, government-guaranteed jobs for every single person isn’t enough. They need to be “green” as well.

“The event marked Ocasio-Cortez’s first visit to the soon-to-be Speaker’s office, and leftists were pretty miffed that she introduced herself to her Democratic colleagues not by embracing inter-party collegiality, but by openly disagreeing with her party’s long-time leadership,” explained Daily Wire.

Think about this for a moment: By joining a protest blocking Pelosi’s office, an elected official is now openly interfering with another duly-elected lawmaker from her own party. For all the problems with Pelosi, she still is a representative of her constituents — and Ocasio-Cortez just stepped between her and nearly a million Californians.

Even liberals on social media were appalled by Ocasio-Cortez’s tone-deaf stunt.

“WTF are you doing? Nancy Pelosi is your friend, not your enemy,” posted one user. “This is an bizarre choice for the protesters since NP unilaterally passed major climate legislation with no buy-in from the Senate in 2009,” noted another.

“Perhaps doesn’t know how Congress works,” wondered yet another Twitter user.

That’s a distinct — though terrifying — possibility. After all, Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign was a comedy of errors.

We’re talking about someone who doesn’t know the difference between red and blue states, rambles about Palestine before admitting she doesn’t know what she’s talking about, and bizarrely believes that a congressman’s job is to be “signing bills.”

On one hand, it’s jaw-dropping that this is the person chosen by many New Yorkers to represent them. One the other hand, however, it’s yet another example of the left eating itself and moving ever further away from the mainstream.
At this rate, it won’t be long before liberals make Democrats of just a few years ago look downright conservative — and that would mean that they’ve alienated everyday Americans far beyond the point of no return.

SEC. 151. FEDERAL VACANCIES AND APPOINTMENTS.

(a) SHORT TITLE.-This section may be cited as the "Federal Vacancies Reform Act of 1998".
(b) IN GENERAL.-Chapter 33 of title 5, United States Code, is amended by striking sections 3345 through 3349 and inserting the following:

"§3345. Acting officer

"(a) If an officer of an Executive agency (including the Executive Office of the President, and other than the General Accounting Office) whose appointment to office is required to be made by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, dies, resigns, or is otherwise unable to perform the functions and duties of the office-

"(1) the first assistant to the office of such officer shall perform the functions and duties of the office temporarily in an acting capacity subject to the time limitations of section 3346;

"(2) notwithstanding paragraph (1), the President (and only the President) may direct a person who serves in an office for which appointment is required to be made by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to perform the functions and duties of the vacant office temporarily in an acting capacity subject to the time limitations of section 3346; or

"(3) notwithstanding paragraph (1), the President (and only the President) may direct an officer or employee of such Executive agency to perform the functions and duties of the vacant office temporarily in an acting capacity, subject to the time limitations of section 3346, if

"(A) during the 365-day period preceding the date of death, resignation, or beginning of inability to serve of the applicable officer, the officer or employee served in a position in such agency for not less than 90 days; and

"(B) the rate of pay for the position described under subparagraph (A) is equal to or greater than the minimum rate of pay payable for a position at GS-15 of the General Schedule.
