New Acting Attorney General to Oversee Mueller Probe

Okay, April is one I do recall he got short with. It did not have my undivided attention. I was grading papers at my desk and listening mostly. Every now and then I took a glance. I thought it odd that there were 2 cnn reporters, I must have heard wrong, I stand corrected. Thanks for the clarification. April wouldn't shut up when he told her that's enough.

New Acting Attorney General to Oversee Mueller Probe

I thought you considered Fox (Faux) News an unreliable source!?!
I used to like Napolitano and believed him to speak wisely. Lately though, he contradicts what I know to be true so I don't know what's happened to him.

Surely the Justice Department can not be unmanned I would think. Rosenstein is under investigation himself. How could he take the position?

New Acting Attorney General to Oversee Mueller Probe

Trump's new Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, who has criticized the Mueller probe, will now oversee it

President Donald Trump's new acting attorney general, Matthew Whitaker, will oversee special counsel Robert Mueller's probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.
"The Acting Attorney General is in charge of all matters under the purview of the Department of Justice," a spokesperson for the department says when asked if Whitaker would oversee Mueller's investigation.
Trump announced in a pair of tweets minutes earlier on Wednesday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions would be replaced by Whitaker, who was Sessions' chief of staff at the Justice Department. Sessions had resigned at Trump's "request," according to his resignation letter.

It was not immediately clear how the staffing change will impact Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is currently overseeing the Mueller probe. At about 3:45 p.m. ET, NBC reported that Rosenstein was headed to the White House for a "previously scheduled meeting."

Whitaker argued in an August 2017 op-ed for CNN that Mueller's investigation is "dangerously close to crossing" the so-called red line not to look into the Trump family's finances.

"It does not take a lawyer or even a former federal prosecutor like myself to conclude that investigating Donald Trump's finances or his family's finances falls completely outside of the realm of his 2016 campaign and allegations that the campaign coordinated with the Russian government or anyone else," Whitaker wrote in the piece.

"That goes beyond the scope of the appointment of the special counsel."

Less than a month earlier, Whitaker had defended Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., for accepting a meeting at Trump Tower in June 2016 with Russian officials who had promised damaging information about Hillary Clinton during the presidential campaign.

"You would always take that meeting," Whitaker said on CNN.

Whitaker, 49, is a former U.S. attorney in Iowa who ran for political office as a Republican. The National Association of Former United States Attorneys announced in October 2017 that Whitaker had been appointed as Sessions' chief of staff.

Sessions had been a frequent target of Trump's ire since he recused himself from the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin.

Trump has also criticized Rosenstein. "I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director!" Trump said in a June 2017 tweet, shortly after the special counsel was appointed.

The special counsel declined CNBC's request for comment on Sessions.

Sessions' resignation came less than 24 hours after most polls closed in the midterm elections. Democrats won majority control of the House of Representatives, while Republicans strengthened their hold on the Senate.

The announcement spurred an avalanche of statements from lawmakers of both major parties. Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who appears likely to become chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, said "Whitaker and any nominee must commit" to protecting Mueller and the independence of the Justice Department.

The timing is especially significant given that the new session of Congress with a Democrat-led House will not begin until Jan. 3, 2019.

UN, NWO, Agenda 21

True, in the circle of life.

I believe this video to be one of having people check their awareness as to the prophecies and the signs of the times. Mainly to know if we are ready or not. It is not one that say the end will come on a certain date, but many do believe that we are soon approaching the end times if have not already entered in, according to the book of the Revelations of John.

Hlbouquet

UN, NWO, Agenda 21

Those people are deceived. There are prophecies in the Bible that will happen before the end comes. We are to be alert and know the season we are in and recognize the signs of the times, but no one will know when. Even Jesus said that He didn't know, and that only the Father knows. Probably when the last one who is called, answers the call.

To keep in perspective, we need to be ready. Even at the hour when we cease to live in this earthsuit, for we are only passing through, our time has come and we enter into the eternal life for all of eternity. Here on earth, for those who believe, we receive The Eternal Life to Live Within Us while we are here in this body.
We contain All the fullness of the Godhead in bodily form. We have Power to Overcome... all circumstances, all the powers of darkness and everything that would try to exhalt itself against the power of God.

Trouble is, many 'believers' don't go so far as to Know who they are In Christ. They were either taught in error and do not know they can obtain all of the benefits of the Kingdom, or they chose to merely dip their toe in the water instead of diving into the deep.

Beware of False Prophets!

RE: Trump sends troops to stop the Caravan

Yes, and it's already beginning to work. The Caravans have received the word and many are taking asylum in Mexico or returning home.

I feel for them, but we are a Nation of Laws and Immigration Laws must be followed. We can not support an invasion of this size. Besides, it isn't fair who Do go through the legal process.

RE: Stopping birth right citizenship

True, we would have to be subject to the laws of the land, yet laws would vary, concerning rights of citizens vs aliens in each country and as she pointed out, her children are exempt from educational laws of the country she resides in.

Just as immigrants in the U.S. must also comply with the laws of each State and Federal Laws, but are not subject to rights and benefits given to it's Citizens.

If the jurisdiction clause only meant that simply being here was within the jurisdiction, there would be no reason for deportation back to the home country. See how easily it makes sense?

HLbouquet

RE: Stopping birth right citizenship

Yes! And the way to change their allegiance is to enter the country legally and apply for citizenship at the proper time after going through the proper channels and abiding by all legalities. This takes years. Also requires a test in the U.S., to be sure you know what you are declaring allegiance to.

This would also mean that children birthed in a country of which parents entered illegally, as minors, would be subject to the allegiance of the country of their parents.

HL

RE: Stopping birth right citizenship

It's the clarification given by Senator Howard, who wrote the legislation in 1923.
What I posted above. Also what Conrad was referring to.
HL

RE: Stopping birth right citizenship

I posted it above your comment. 1923

RE: Stopping birth right citizenship

Those who defy the laws of the U.S. should not be allowed to confer such an advantage on their children. This would not be visiting the sins of the parents on the children, as is often claimed, since the children of illegal aliens born in the U.S. would not be denied anything to which they otherwise would have a right. Their allegiance should follow that of their parents during their minority. A nation that cannot determine who becomes citizens or believes that it must allow the children of those who defy its laws to become citizens is no longer a sovereign nation.

RE: Stopping birth right citizenship

Congress passed legislation in 1923 which Does say it.

There are two components to American citizenship: birth or naturalization in the U.S. and being subject to the jurisdiction of the U.S. Today, we somehow have come to believe that anyone born within the geographical limits of the U.S. is automatically subject to its jurisdiction; but this renders the jurisdiction clause utterly superfluous. If this had been the intention of the framers of the 14th Amendment, presumably they would have said simply that all persons born or naturalized in the U.S. are thereby citizens.

Indeed, during debate over the amendment, Senator Jacob Howard, the author of the citizenship clause, attempted to assure skeptical colleagues that the language was not intended to make Indians citizens of the United States. Indians, Howard conceded, were born within the nation’s geographical limits, but he steadfastly maintained that they were not subject to its jurisdiction because they owed allegiance to their tribes and not to the U.S. Senator Lyman Trumbull, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, supported this view, arguing that “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” meant “not owing allegiance to anybody else and being subject to the complete jurisdiction of the United States.”

Jurisdiction understood as allegiance, Senator Howard explained, excludes not only Indians but “persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers.”* Thus, “subject to the jurisdiction” does not simply mean, as is commonly thought today, subject to American laws or courts. It means owing exclusive political allegiance to the U.S.
