My daughter is 14 and I am already trying to scare the boys away.....
He is in the middle of a long divorce, but he searches and searches for a woman of child bearing age because he is the last male in his family, and therefore wants a biological son to carry on his name. I am constantly confused by his way of thinking. He has a woman/girlfriend for the past 3 yrs. or more, that adores him...would do anything for him it appears, and yet he still feels the need to search and the overwhelming need to try to have more children, hoping for a son. I cannot understand why he cannot be happy with the 2 beautiful children he has...and why even though he says he loves the girlfriend, who is no longer able to bear children...it is not enough. She and I have talked about this and I sometimes wonder if it is just his way of having an "out" so that he does not have to make a commitment. She said he told her in the beginning of their relationship that the desire to have a child was stronger than love. I just cannot understand this...
Nor do I understand exactly why she stays with him, to be honest...I do not think I would, or could. What are your thoughts???
