RE: Why people lie so much about their age and social position while dating ???

An old saying within all the intelligence services that also apply to the so called ‘dating world’ is that there is always a bodyguard of lies that surround and protect the truth’.
All from what I’ve observed in this ‘dating world’, it may be best to simply accede to finding Miss or Mr. OK/ Miss ‘You’ll Do or Mr. Not Bad...laugh

RE: A good healthy dose of reality...

Excellent points; the only ones that are very questionable are all the ones,(mostly females) that contact convicted killers and well known psychopaths in prisons and on ‘death row’ that profess their love and desires to marry them…Personally I think that those individuals should be taken to psychiatric facilities and studied...

RE: What should North America do about the Ebola Outbreak in Africa?

Tragically, very few countries do not engage in secret medical/ biological research and development, especially when aligned with one of the so called ‘super powers’. Those R&D funds are virtually impossible to turn down…

RE: Are women who use dating sites looking for the bigger better deal?

and everyone is no deposit, no return, just disposable…aren’t human values great...laugh

RE: Clothing, Who Gets The Better Deal?

Those would have been great in the movie Thunderball( along with the underwater car!)
I can see all those ‘high fashionistas’ at beaches in Rio or at Punta del Este or the beach across from the Conrad casino in Uruguay wearing themlaugh

RE: Cross-dressing (or, are men pretty in pink)

Seems that no one ,male or female ever attended a Rocky Horror Film Fest and dressed up or it….went to a few, what a riot of fun! A couple of us even learned how to walk in high heels!

RE: Should Police be voted in like the Government ?

Just try and imagine ALL the endless and costly elections…who would pay for it all in every country, parish, town and state across your country…elections may just end up a 24/ 7 carnival when you actually think of the numbers of police which would also include all troopers, sheriffs etc., etc.
Actually, it might be good; it could literally leave the entire country paralyzed without any police to do their jobs as they would all be out trying to be elected…it would be heaven for all criminals with no one on duty to stop robberies, riots, rapes, bombings, etc.
When the civil rights marched back in the 60’s and 70’s, a common joke from the MLK days was, ‘Let us bow our heads in prayer, while riots and bloodshed fill the air!’…(Aren’t those days with at sentiment, back in Missouri, over the “besmirching” of the character that was a wanted thief for robbery and then shot dead, allegedly with his hands held up….when are people ever going to learn that certain people can do no wrong... confused laugh

RE: Which faction would you belong to?

One of my earliest impressions of the adult world, I had as a child, was that NO one ever spoke the Truth about virtually everything.
I do believe in ‘The truth shall set you free’, so I chose #3, opting for candour, of which there is hardly any in the world, especially in the ‘political’, as it desperately needs it, especially by those in power. The truth is usually hard to digest, but it should and must be told; if people don’t like it…hey, it’s a live and let die world.

RE: Does skin colour realy matter when it comes to dating?

Depends on your own background. Those of colour rarely voice their preferences especially for their own Race. Certainly the Black Muslims make no bones about it. They, like many other Africans and various white/ Aryan peoples wish to keep their racial integrity and have no wish nor desire to date, let alone marry someone of another Race. It is free choice which most sane peoples cherish. I certainly agree with this. I have no desire to put anyone, much less myself into any type of social situations wherein that may be even considered. Social interactions is a proverbial ‘slippery slope', indeed. What some interpret as “love” is not universally accepted ; it is pure selfishness bordering on some insidious form of wishing to destroy any and all Races by intermarrying which they see as a more ‘socially acceptable’ than outright racial genocide. If one has a problem with their own Race or any other Race and they wish to do them harm genetically, start with trying suicide. Far better than trying to genetically, and culturally destroying their racial integrity. We all have a right to pass on on our own personal and racial heritage. Racial mongrelization is not something to see as beneficial to Humankind. That takes all of our collective uniqueness to contribute to and if any Race goes down the road of extinction, then we are all the poorer. If one is religious, would your God approve to help wipe out another Race, either by guns or inter -marriage…I would hope not and neither would other Races.

RE: When does a relationship become a relationship?

Good answer. I would only make the observation that it would become a relationship once you stop paying her in cash or her company and/ or services and start using a credit card…some of the really ‘high-end’ bordells issue their own credit cards...laugh

RE: Are You A Life Timer Here?

I’m virtually withdrawn from this. Joined back in 2005, worked and lived all over the world until about 2 years ago. Met a few and I’m sure that they had escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane, while most at CS belonged in a psychiatric asylum for the criminally inane, it’s been fun at times. Needless, to say that all those ‘I knew’, have long gone. However, the forums does provide some amusement at times, during quiet times here, as when a painting is drying and is too wet to work on it further.
When I worked down in the deep South, I got used to finding people at all those disgusting white-trash trailer parks and being at CS is very similar in both ‘clientele’ and certainly in overall mental capacity, or rather lack of any with perhaps a 5th grade level education. What would this world be like without all of those types…I shutter to think… That’s America fur ya!rolling on the floor laughing

RE: are whe real or not real

I heard the other day of a case in Ottawa, Canada of a man arrested and charged with multiple stalking, threats and cyber bullying of dozens of people over a 6 year period. He had about 30 different profiles up at various forums.
We had one some months ago, a man with over 60 profiles at one local site, going after females. The joke around here is that he made up for over half the site’s membership…Now that could be a good story to develop…multiple profiles with multiple personalities…he is found murdered, dismembered into the same number of profiles. A police defective is convinced that he was murdered by a conspiracy of all his personalities and he goes off trying to find them….No, this is not ‘the revenge of Inspector Clouseau ...laugh

RE: POSSIBILITY RATE OF ENDLESS LOVE. I SOLVED IT. :)

POSSIBILITY RATE OF ENDLESS LOVE….

Rates vary; on most phone for love sites, rates usually begin at $4.99 a minute while on 'love-chat' sites rates start at around $36.00 a half-hour; some are twice that and more. 'Love-rates' can be very expensive, never mind trying to bargain with a pro on the street or in a bar/ hotel lobby when she starts out at one thousand or $2500.00 a pop...wine laugh

RE: Should CS be just for singles?

Perhaps it is the term 'single' that confuses certain people, like those who are married but do not share a CS membership, but only the husband or wife which therefore means to them, that they are single…and possibly looking, browsing or shopping for someone…hey, it beats walking the streets or in and out of bars or bus and train stations looking for someone interesting...laugh

RE: Geography

There are several factors to consider about scammers and yes Geography is one of them. Other is when people open up several profiles and make a comment once a year or so. That could also be a red flag.

The solution is simple:

Do not send any money to anyone, no matter how much they love you.[/quote

She's right, do not send money, foods, clothing, etc. to places with names like Ougadougou, which is in Upper Volta, but then again, perhaps send some change to Oodnadatta in case they are raising money for a new town sign and name, which is in Australialaugh At least names of towns in the 'British' Isles are not half as confusing or bizarre as in the US, like Paranoia in Colorado, or Sebastopol, Louisiana; Humansville, Missouri. Nevermind that nearly each state has a town named after either another state or city, such as in Florida,(the state) with towns called Havana, Switzerland, Seville, Melbourne and Brighton….while Palestine, Turkey, Sudan, Paris, India, China and Egypt are all in Texas…go figure. With the love of guns so prevalent in the US, one would think that towns with names like Rile, Colorado; Gun Barrel City, Texas would be filled to overflowing….and if by chance anyone looking for a planet, they're all in the US...laugh

RE: Children Coming to America all by Themselves from Southern Border

What I find really perplexing in this is that they all come from an "impoverished' country/ countries, but no one ever asks is where do these families/ mothers, get so much money to pay these 'coyotes' in the first place…what does a single mother living in some hovel or tiny room get 20 0r 30 or even 40, let alone 50 thousand dollars as we all have heard by these reporters from all the major networks, have to do to get that much??!! How long does she or the family have to 'work' to get this much?? How is it that the 'gangs' that run most of the small towns not know that they are hoarding all this cash, and not rob them???
Something is not right here with this bizarre scenario. When I was a free-lance journalist, we all had one rule to always 'follow the money' and see who benefits from the story from any angle. I have yet to hear one news report explaining the origin of so much money by all these so called impoverished mothers / families to pay for their child's escape to the US...

RE: The Importance of good spelling and grammar

""And ne gel?d þu us on costnunge, ac al?s us of yfele"

Yeah the sentence. It is from the Lord's Prayer. Above was the Olde English version. Today you would say it as;

"And do not lead thou us into temptation, but alese (release/deliver) us of (from) evil."

Frankly, I don't get this: in the olde English, 2 questions are asked; in the translation, there are no questions whatsoever or is it a matter of 'typos' as to the question marks??? confused
English has evolved over the eons from Alte Deutsch through Olde English/Saxon to what it encompasses now. Of all the languages now existing, I would say that it is the most elastic being able to constantly absorb yet retain a working language with a haphazard collection of rules collectively confounding most of us, but, hey, it's a fun language! I love using it and rarely use three others out of five that I used as a child.laugh

RE: middle east

After several years of war in places like Iraq and Afghanistan and thousands of US casualties by IAD's , I somehow doubt that anyone, especially the wounded would agree with such an ignorant statement. In all these years, the US still haven't been able to some up with a detector that can be mounted on your Humvees before they are blown apart along with the soldiers.
As arguments go on with the groups designing the various 'underwear bombs' over which 'designer label' to put on them for stores to sell, they have been very successful with their 'PREPARATION H' Suppository Bullets fired out of most types of handguns; "For those times when you have to deal with one inflamed American as-sehole after another!" They even have speed loaders available... Contempt breeds ingenuity.laugh

RE: where do voices in the head come from...?

For those not wearing an aluminum foil hat or metallic colander, the voices would be transmitted rom one of the US (semi) Intelligence agencies...a simple filling in a tooth or surgical implant could act as your receiver...laugh
However, in reality, there are many cases on file of electronic transmissions by agencies . Not all that funny..

RE: should a profile pic be compulsary on a dating site. ?

Compulsory photos???? Of who...of what...Reads the same as "mandatory"; same idiocy. If a photo of a person, do we swear an oath that it is of the poster ??? Baring that silliness, as an artist, one could argue that a photo of a certain object is a conceptual photo of my inner self...Conceptual self portraits/ representations can be quite revealing on many levels, psychologically speaking. Whose to say which type of photo does more to reveal the real you...laugh

RE: Are there any Godly real single men on this site not foreigners or older men than me

"Are there any Godly real single men on ..."
Ater reading all the comments, I think that she had meant to write
real Goofy single men...if she had, she would have been swamped with mail...laugh

RE: Serenade...

Italy, Spain, and mainly the South American countries it is not that unusual to see it or even hear it; it seems to fit within their cultures, not so in northern Europe or North America, where if tried, the women's likely response would be to yell "Ahhh, shhhut up!" and then throw a beer bottle at the singer. Such is the nature and depth of their notions of 'romantic'. From the ways that women there carry on, I think that they must attend some type of acting classes to give their imitations of a drunken Marlon Brando yelling at Stella, in the film A Streetcar Named Desire...rolling on the floor laughing
The "Romance/ Romantic" classical concept is wasted on them.

RE: The Most Important Question You Can Ask Yourself Today

do you really think that it would cause a potential coup or dictator to put off taking over???
No one votes here except the peons and the sheeple who may not like living in a so called 'banana republic' because the the potential for a military coup is always on the horizon due ti the corrupt and crooked politicians making a mess of the economy or even thinking of passing a law forbidding the military from taking over!laugh Oh, and no one really grows bananas here; it's all cattle, but Generals do love gaudy uniforms...like theatre ushers in Europe....laugh

RE: noah the film

If I remember correctly, the Sumerian Creation Epic along with the original flood is called The Enuma elish, there are many translations in the last 60 some years, from Kramer to current linguistic experts and historians. The original Noah was simply called 'a man of Shuruppak", the 7th ancient city founded by the Gods,(Nefilim) when they 'from Heaven desended'. It was not any sort of 'Christian God' that decided to wipe out Humankind. After going through nearly a dozen other names thet this particular Deity was known by, it finally names him as "Enlil" He had always hated the creation of humans but was not above using them when it suited him as after the deluge, survivors were allowed to live and re-settle what is now Iraq; ancient Mesopotamia, aka Sumer. It was Enlil that persuaded the Council of Gods to 'destroy all human flesh upon the earth. The actual name of the original Noah was Ziusudra in Sumerian,(Utnapishtim in Akkadian). It is he that Gilgamesh went in search of for everlasting Life/ Immortality. Ziusudra was taken to live forever with the Gods.
Found my copy, so I shall quote a passage: "Man of Shuruppak, son of Ubar-Tutu:
Tear down the house, build a ship!
Give up possessions, seek thou life!
Foreswear belongings, keep soul alive!
Aboard ship take thou the seeds of all living things;
That ship thou shalt build-
her dimensions shall be to measure."
There should be several translations on line, especially rom the Encyclopaedia Brittanica, the ancient history sections from Cambridge and Oxford and others.
You will notice the command that he take "the seeds of all living things"...seeds has always been the important word and concept throughout most of the translations by linguists...absolutely nothing about taking live animals or fruit trees, etc. The Old Testament came much later and was drastically changed from the original. or myself and many scholars, the OT version is a very badly written made-up fake for a select group of roaming outcasts then living somewhere between ancient Babylon and Persia.wine

RE: The Good Old Times / Le Bon Vieux Temps ........

This could have been an interesting thread but from what I see, the majority of the posts are only links to band videos...weird, as there is so much more to Life; in Life than the sounds of bands and songs, of which none of it is tactile in any way. To each their own.
I live in exile from my beloved Europe; as far as I know, everyone that I ever knew is dead, either left along some overgrown jungle trail or thrown into a garbage heap after a firing squad liberated their souls...Virtually no nice memories remain and that is a shame. Can't legally return to either country I was raised in and another may still have an arrest warrant for me. I can't be sure as my old contacts from Scotland Yard and Interpol are long gone so I can't be sure, not for actual crimes but the same as several others around here. At some point in the 70's we all served in various armies and some were deemed illegal, after having to disband rather than surrender. Our only actual crime was being on the loosing side but, hey, we tried whether it was in Biafra, or Katanga to Angola and Rhodesia or in Chile and here during the so called 'dirty war' and in Uruguay, while the Americans and their allies, the Israelis ran the gun and drug smuggling...and so many of could not return Home and so made our way to this country with so many immigrants from all European countries, but it is still not home, not our Fatherlands; les cafards de triste.

RE: Do you think.....

Welcomed?? HA! Certainly not by the current Govt. And if Mugabe ever got wind that was there, he'd send his household goon squad! If Holland heard of it, they'd try for another arrest warrant on me for "crimes against the continent of Africa" like they tried back in 1980 or sorolling on the floor laughing Their Justice Minister at the time became a laughing stock for that; he wanted publicity or notoriety, he got it.
One doesn't go around trying to issue warrants on mercenary soldiers, especially when other governments sanctioned our operations. I'm pretty sure that I'd get all sorts of red flags coming through immigration. No thanks, those days are long finished. When I feel the 'need' to get back into a jungle, hey, the Amazon isn't far and it is so beautiful and large, one could spend an entire lifetime exploring it all.
We have a lot of various Europeans in the Police and judicial system here and the only ones that don't like it are the cartel drug people. They usually disappear permanently into the Amazon. Cheers , Lady Dizwine

RE: Do you think.....

Ok, but as you are part of the legal system there and have a much better grasp of or understanding of African law, how would this trial fare under their old customary laws?? I'm really quite curious. I know the Matabele tribes either banished a convicted 'killer' , very, very rarely taking a life. A life for a life was the idiot European's way which could not be undone,,,far too hasty in many cases.
(I miss that part of the world!)wine
