PattyOGreen: Do you think you will be here forever?
What would you do if the site shuts down?
No, I don't think I'll be here forever and I know I won't cry if the site shuts down. I'm quite happy with my life and I've a life outside CS. I'm mostly here for the puzzles. The OP should try the puzzles too! It's a good brain exercise, especially needed when you get older! I left once, but the puzzles pulled me back like a rubber band!
A life timer? I don't mind, as long as I find the puzzles entertaining.

If it closed down I would miss it. But odd thing is I don't bother with facebook,,if it closed down it close down simple as that we all live without it.....

I'm here off and on, when I have time. I have too much going on outside the site to even entertain talking with people on a regular basis, but I enjoy myself when I'm here. It's good to have some interaction even if it's just virtual.

Right now for me it's like I'm on a long layover waiting for my next flight, and the bars are closed.

When I first started here on CS... I was a little apprehensive, but game as Ned Kelly... I jumped straight into the forums.. and found it all to be a huge amount of fun..
Then, as world events came and went, I realised that I was forcing myself to read up on what I normally would never have bothered with.. so it became a learning experience.
When all the African top countries had their civil wars, that was amazing, as we had a member who reported activities.. from his side of the pond..of which ship came into port etc... and it suddenly occurred to me, that I was getting world news before our own news reported it..
The other lovely thing that has happened, I have extended my usually generous acknowledgement of cognitive learning, and responses to a higher level of acknowledgement... stuff like this doesn't happen in real life.. we don't get to know the thoughts and opinions of people around the world very often.
and the last lovely thing, that I think we can all lay claim to, is that by our diversity and cultural experiences, we care enough to appreciate members for their good and bad, and acknowledge, that everyone has these days all around the world, but in some countries, it might just be a tad more difficult to get through that day in good humour...
which leads to friendships being formed... and that is all good.
Oh, I forgot... I work full time, so clearly I cannot live on here, but should CS die, well, so be it.. but it would be difficult to find another free site which has all these features, and opportunities to exchange ideas and banter and knowledge..

Hey you
I really am unsure if I am here for life or not I do have a life outside of cs yet I may be sitting here and an airplane land on me in my house squishing me to smitherings therefor putting me here as a life timer in just a nano second. And to be honest if cs was to shut down I would miss it but I would continue on my life's journey for there would be nothing I could do about it.

I like the puzzles that come in a box, not the internet ones.
