Yes, it could be just you. Not every exercise is right for everyone. Cycling is right for you. But to another person it may not be the right workout program for them. Not everyone can run, so they have to find something that works better for them.
But cycling is excellent exercise too. That's great that you are up to 10 miles. Have you ever tried a 20-30 miler?? Have you ever been a participant in a cycling race?
Well, it's hard to start running a little later in life. But people have done it and have succeeded. I haven't done a marathon, but I've done a few 5K's and 10K's (3 miles and 6 miles). That's my limit.
Running a marathon takes a lot of work and determination and patience.
The thing with Jim Fixx was that he was a long time smoker and it had done irrepairable damage to his heart.
I've ran most of my life (junior high and high school), never smoked, and get a physical every other year. So, it depends on your past habits, health, and etc.
When I'm alone, I like to make myself some Rice A Roni (a cup full), a small salad, and maybe a couple of chicken strips. It's simple and healthy in small portions.
Just wanted to know if anyone else love to jog/run for fitness. I do about 4-5 days a week (30 minutes-1 hour; every other day I alternate the distance).
I think you are just fine the way you are. There's no reason to ever be in a rocking chair. I've seen people as old as 70-80 running 5K's, 10K's, and marathons.
I'm about 32 (in January) and I don't act or dress my age. I still wear mini-skirts, low rider jeans, and heels all the time. But I look good (I'm not skinny and I'm not heavy either). So, why not??
My first crush was with a boy named Cory. I was 14 and he was 15. My father finally let me start dating and we went out together. We went roller skating and it was a lot of fun. We went out together for a year, until a new girl moved to town (she was fat, ugly, etc.). So, anyway, we broke up. But I did see him again when I was 17 (I was wearing a hot mini-skirt, off the shoulder blouse, and heels). He loved the way I looked and wished he never broken up with me. So, I told him "whatever, you lose".
I wished my ex wasn't so much of a workaholic, more easy going, more outgoing, and just happier. He was always grouchy and got angry at the slightest thing. I hate that (that's why I left and divorced him 4 1/2 years ago)
The only thing I'm very creative with right now is sewing. I love to sew and repair clothes. But that's all I have time for, when I'm not too busy (other than working out a lot).
Yes, you can set to how far away you want to go as to meeting the kind of person you are looking for. She was probably only interested in someone that lived closer to her. Some people are like that.
Well, I don't think I'm celebrating this year (I might). I might go as a Playboy Bunny (I got the outfit last year, but didn't get a chance to celebrate last year). But it would have to be at a house party. I could not wear it at a bar or anything like that in public. Especially in this town.
RE: MY BABE DIED YESTERDAY IN A CAR ACCIDENT
I'm very sorry for what happened. You need to be extra careful about that drinking and driving. It's a very serious manner these days.I'm just real glad that you are safe, babe....
