I think one,(not all) of the reasons they continue to live in depression is because they think it's SELFISH to live their life the way they see fit SO they suppress DESIRE.It's CRUCIAL to UNDERSTAND that to live my life the way I see fit is NOT SELFISH.What is SELFISH is for me to demand that other people live their life the way I SEE FIT.
9 times out of ten,depending on what the debate or argument is about........IT'S not right,not wrong,not good,not bad.......JUST IS,AND I'M impartial TO everybody.
I meant..... used to be depressed. Another thing is that PEOPLE are always trying to fix things. THINGS don't need to be fixed,they need to be UNDERSTOOD. DEPRESSION,or anything else for that matter.
AS far as depression goes,the only reason you suffer from depression is because you IDENTIFY with it.IF YOU DON'T IDENTIFY WITH it,you get through it.You can be happy in your depression,but nobody ever taughtt you that.The problem is people try to fight their depression,and the more you fight it,the more POWER you give it.Just let the depresion be.....be AWARE of it......and it will pass.
Before enlightenment,I USES TO BE DEPRESSED. After enlightenment,I continue to be depressed.............but I don't identify with it anymore.
