In the best of the world we all would be, but I think your eyes won't need to look much higher than the previous post to see that is not the case :), not to name anyone ahem ahem. I dream of a world of reasonnable people too... an utopia, the mankind has its up and down at any age...
I would have say Sicilia from Italy or Corsica from France has the rudest people over EU but this was before a certain country came in the circle.
I went to Svergie and Norge btw, very nice people there, clean country.
Thank you, though I cannot return the compliment, as I've never been to France and have no opinion on the HOLE population. :)
Though I had a few colleagues from France and they were very polite and agreeable people.
I also recall the times when the EU fora, for all its numerous faults, were known for not reporting anyone for anything. We left that to the International. :)
And, if anything else, that was the best and quickest way to learn who is who and why.
Agree that a holiday in mountains can be indeed great. Though a holiday is one thing and a relationship is another. If you are looking for a relationship, perhaps it's better to address some local women. As for holiday... search after people with similar interests.
Yes, a travel agency is the best choice if you go to a foreign country for the first time. It may limit your options on one side, but it would provide a certain degree of security on the other. (And I'm sad to say, but you'd need some protection, at least in a form of advice, as a (female) tourist in a number of European countries nowadays.)
Another option: visiting your friend, who can guide and help you in everyday situations (as shopping, using collective transportation to and from museums, theatres... and the like).
And it would very wise of you to gather as much information about the place you plan to visit as possible and, of course, check your consulate advise (they usually have an official internet site).
What is going on in Sweden? What has your government done to protect the Jews in Malmo and other cities, so that they can stay in their own country and not flee to Israel? I have just read about the Assyrian Christians in Goeteborg, who are being threathened by the Muslims.
I have no idea. I stopped read Swedish media a while ago. Considering moving to Syria after they all’ve move to Europe. Antarctica is also an option.
Militant Muslims don't differ from, say, militant Christians. Americans supremacists with a gun in one hand and a Bible in another don't differ from Muslims who tie explosives to their bodies and walk into a crowded market or mosque.
Europe, as a whole as well as separate countries, fought long and hard to become secularised. We are not to lose that, good people. Let's not lose that!
Your personal religious believes belong to your private life. Don't impose it on other people.
We live here by current laws that have been enacted by parliaments we voted for. Not by ancient books.
Voted blank at the last election - as there was no party that I feel would represent me. There ought to be a few empty chairs in Swedish parliament for all, who voted blank.
And I think there ought to be a referendum on the matter of pseudo-Syrians refugees.
Women and children and elderly and sick - yes. Those, who storm Hungarian borders... They are fit enough to make something of their country, if they are discontent with the situation. I am not obliged to feed them. I don't want them and there mentality here.
RE: What kinds of things you like to do in the summer?
Swimming and sun-bathing and paddling a kayak. When the weather allows.
