RE: When ur at your lowest ebb..

A well measured combination dose of mescaline, Prozac, just dusted with a hint of amphetamines...low ebb forgotten! Barring this option...hey, its not what happens to you, its how you deal with it.

But alas, in light of the thread's message,...what be your mood,...see that you are above me? wink wink wink May I guess a bit amused, yet not without some pleasantry?? RE: I Love You

Hell, my dog said such by licking my face this morning. My wife said such as she walked out the door, I said it to myself as I looked in the mirror at my god-like warrior image,...and as my friend, I put forth to you, love you good sir! I also said it to the sunrise this morning, despite the frost. The opposite of love is not hate, but rather indifference! Take care Ali!

RE: Guess your fellow's Cs'ers mood above you...............

Mood - absolute hilarity! Were these people even truly Irish? I have sat at a table with lads and lassies from the Emerald Isle and had to take measures to hide what little moonshine I had from their grasp! The ONLY reason it is illegal is that the governments do not like losing out on the tax revenue! I sense a very happy mood.

RE: Now, don't all groan at once

A quick trip to either Vegas, Atlantic City, or Monaco. A one number bet on the Roulette table - if the casino has the balls! Hey, they only stand to win 30 million very, very easily, but lose? rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing $1,050,000,000. If by some miracle I connected,...why not? I would look them square in the eyes and ask "Let it ride??"

More seriously, family and friends would be gifted. I have never been rich, nor prey to the trappings of wealth - I have managed quite well without untold wealth. Once my bills, family and friends were accounted for, I would love to just screw around "paying it forward!" (But not like Oprah....to people who REALLY need it!)

But even more seriously, let me score at Vegas and THEN WATCH the fun I will be having!

RE: Why settle for less?

Hey, at least she was not concerned about "looks" grin

RE: Where are all the bad boys?

Ain't no such thing as arriving "late" to a party! More its a sign the REAL party is just beginning! laugh cheers

RE: Where are all the bad boys?

Only if you let age get the better of you....

RE: Where are all the bad boys?

hug Totally understandable! wink

RE: How do you think Donald Trump has done so far as President?

I do not blame the man - he is who he is (comment censored regarding who he is!) He rode into business on his father's coat-tails, and despite his total lack of military or government service achieved through the electoral college, the highest position of power within the USA. (Okay, still waiting to see just how much Vlad had to do with it! :-) ) HOWEVER, bottom-line...I can hardly wait for him to tear up NAFTA and walk from the table! Weak-kneed little negotiation techniques! Just hoping Justin remembers his old mans attitude when dealing with Trump! (Yeah, I have no respect for him either! Cannot even find a decent contractor to build his wall....I hear Mexicans are a good labour source!

RE: THE Lonely Narcissist!!

hug A few months past a half century of study! I came here for the references to Greek mythology, not to get into a discussion of Trump (but yes, he exhibits narcissist traits, both very positive, and very, very negative) That would be a blatant hi-jacking of this thread.

RE: Let's change the tides....

Hey galrads and One...I too feel slighted that I was not included on the serial psychopathic list....sigh...sucks to get old and be deemed without value...

RE: THE Lonely Narcissist!!

Holy crap! Another "string theory physicist!"rolling on the floor laughing Try the tenth dimension, one shy of the eleventh! (I would post my math, but CS SUCKS at the allowance for numerical/mathematical language! Go figure!) But I can assure you, no where to be found in the sixth dimension, Yes, I also checked every damn balloon in the Fifth Dimension (both beautiful and ugly ones - not there either! )

RE: THE Lonely Narcissist!!

rolling on the floor laughing I actually thought it was all about Greek mythology! (which, is in a way, a discussion of a religion now declared mythological - like Roman, Judaism, Norse, Christianity, Manitou, etc, etc) But I did see the reference to mental illness! This in my warped opinion, is and has been one of the better threads in awhile! Now excuse me, I have a mirror to get back to! rolling on the floor laughing hug

RE: THE Lonely Narcissist!!

Welcome to Greek Mythology! (I am also a fan of other mythologies, especially Norse and Roman). Remember, Narcissus fell to "Nemesis" who convinced him of all of his worth above all else....it was not he who fell in love with his reflection, but in his belief out what Nemesis told him...and when it comes to esteem, do not we not all have our Nemesis('s)? (This suggests not to piss of Echo.... :-D )

Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) - Trump exhibits tendencies towards elitist narcissism. NPD lies in the realm of psychiatry, of which I have no expertise or credentials. Low self-esteem versus high self esteem - when does high self-esteem become narcissistic?

Narcissists whose high esteem of themselves becomes prominent, are usually diagnosed as having NPD when the resultant effects of their actions based on their self-worth negatively impacts those around them. But if the impacts are positive, they are often deemed heroic, progressive, born-leaders....so on and so on.

The more you get into mythology, and yes, especially Greek mythology, the more questions you will find coming to mind! Thank you for the post!

RE: which famous person do you loolk like...?

There are several that say I am quite close to Stephen Wright (comedian). Both in comedy and "looks". My younger sister swears I am almost a dead ringer for him, (right down to the "beauty mark" on the cheek). We certainly have the same sense of humour, and we even sound similar. When I met him in person in Vegas, it was indeed a wonderful meeting to say the least - like looking into warped mirrors on bad drugs! He is a couple inches shorter though. But we are indeed, eerily close.

RE: which famous person do you loolk like...?

Why thank you! Just spent the last hour watching this show (first time for me! Roflmao!) It has been awhile since last paid so gracious a comparison! hug

RE: Where are all the bad boys?

grin

RE: What is your biggest passion in life.....

Minerals.

My divorce cost me a world-class collection and business. She sought the divorce, ha ha, he didn't want you in the end....but the fact you cost me my passion - okay, that somewhat irritates me to this very day! But yeah,,,,I love geology and the little sparkly things it provides.

RE: There's no shame in being wrong

The day that island was pushed up from below the sea ero

600 hits of pure LSD is 200 hits shy of a good high - signed the 1% of scientists! If you are arguing that climate change is NOT related to anthropogenic activities - fine, That is debatable. But to say the climate does not change is, is, is, well....let me go with "possibly, incorrect!"rolling on the floor laughing PS -Plate Tectonics and climate change are somewhat inter-linked (especially on a regional basis), but are akin to apples and oranges.

RE: I feel You -

I hope all is well Ali.

RE: If you had a "one night stand".....

Okay One,....write out the screenplay and submit to the Oprah TV channel....I await the release of this Made for TV movie (try for a comedy, if you can....I might watch! rolling on the floor laughing )

RE: oops

Hiya String!!cheers

Yeah, Irma is Cat 5 and swirling! The Caribbean is going to get slammed, but my guess is that it will blow itself out to a Cat 1 or a Tropical Depression by the time it make landfall in FL. I here ON has been wet this year? Dry out west!!! BC had a RE$AL bad year!

RE: navy seals vs s.a.s.

A soldier is a soldier. Soldiers of an "elite" force usually work covertly and utilize the element of surprise to their advantage. Tough and trained they are - but as to which is better? I guess it is the bunch that yell surprise first! laugh But there are soldiers, non-elite, who were not offered elite training, or training in covert ops...rather in the trenches, on the beaches, in the fields, the jungles met full scale barrages from ground and sky, yet pushed on, crapping their drawers every step of the way!

A soldier is a soldier. If they are true to their task, then I cannot compare them against or with each other, for they stand as equal in my eyes. So, I guess I never did actually answer the question you posed in your thread - my answer would be "no" cheers

RE: navy seals vs s.a.s.

Audrey was...well, I find it extremely obvious why I had such a crush on her!

Thank you for asking! cheers Hollywood is in it for the money, but sometimes it is entertaining. Long before I fought fire from the sky, I started as a "ground-pounder" (which is a pre-requisite to go Air Attack). I can remember seeing this classic from the early fifties (I saw it in the eighties as part of a hot-shot crew just lying around waiting for the call! Realistic? Some parts yes, others, no way! But it is actually a pretty good waste of time! wink http://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=25&v=GBxhFl_swGs

RE: navy seals vs s.a.s.

All is relatively well. I also hope all is rolling along in your world as it should! Aye, with not a drop of Scot's blood in my veins, I was ever so proud to have served in the Watch! Ces kilts étaient un vêtement de courants d’air ! Prenez soin et je vous remercie d’avoir répondu !

RE: navy seals vs s.a.s.

Thankfully a motion was defeated in 1989 to convert the Black watch as a Highland Regiment to a Lowland Accordion and Clarinet Polka Battalion! (Although it wpould have no doubt instilled fear into the heart of the enemy!)

RE: navy seals vs s.a.s.

grin Yes, barbaric it seems to many. But it would be actually quite interesting if we fought seals and clubbed bulls! Discussion of this is a whole thread onto itself.

RE: navy seals vs s.a.s.

That they can. Tis not so important as how allies can deal with each other in a friendly tussle, but rather, how each can deal with a combative enemy in a true theatre of war. Be it together or alone. it must be understood that the "other side" may be just as tough and prepared. Like my old uncle used to tell me...it takes but a single bullet to erase you from the equation.

RE: navy seals vs s.a.s.

Yes, it is in 8 countries, including my own. And is bull-fighting still legal in Spain?
