RE: Share What You Are Listening To -- Part 30 - 11

Our pets

Keeping a cat and a bird together is not a good idea...

My cat has a terrible personality. laugh She didn't experience any traumas as a kitten, but still - she gets scared easily and then attacks. When she was younger - she would bite my leg or hand if I sneezed or dropped something. laugh A year ago she had an operation and changed a lot since. She's much quieter and not so dangerous as before. But, she was a real panther! cool laugh She always disliked men, by the way. laugh

I agree that wild animals shouldn't be kept in captivity, especially in small places. I don't like zoos or circuses.

Domestic animals and pets are different. They rely on humans a lot. Even if we let dogs and cats wander around, they will still be close to human homes and expect food and shelter from us.

I hope your dog recovers soon. hug

shock

How do you manage? It's never boring at your home, definitely! smile
Cute pets, by the way. smile

heart beating

You never know... smile

A very beautiful dog! smile Huskies are like little wolves. purple heart

They must be some dangerous guard dogs!

hug

Animals live much shorter than us and sooner or later we have to say goodbye. crying I had a Siamese cat prior to this one and he died young, at the age of 6. I cried for weeks. crying But, then, even if the grief is deep, giving another pet a home and being in its company really helps. smile

That's very interesting to hear...

RE: Astrology

Thank you. cheers

RE: Who wrecked this dating site forum?

I was a member here 7-8 years ago (using some other nickname, that I don't even remember any more). I remember it was fun for me to read blogs and forums. I laughed a lot. I rarely wrote anything and I don't remember exchanging messages with people at all. But, I do remember that in time - I got bored and left. So, I suppose that those 'good old times' weren't so great after all. confused

Our pets

I noticed that similar topics are closed or very old, so I decided to start another one. smile

Do you have pets? I have a black 12-year-old cat. smile

Do you think that pets can be a great way to meet someone? When both people have pets, they instantly have something in common and a lot of experiences and anecdotes to share. smile Did you ever meet anyone thanks to your pet?

What would you do if your partner disliked your pet? Or if they were allergic to it?

RE: …Do women want to be judged on their looks?

Thanks. handshake

Let's see what LeeCharming has to say about this. wink

RE: …Do women want to be judged on their looks?

I also thought about that... And I was wondering whether LeeCharming forbids his girlfriend to shave her legs, for example, since it's also not natural... confused And whether he himself shaves his beard and mustache... confused Does that desirable natural look have some kind of limits? confused

RE: Abusive males

Something like that. giggle

RE: Abusive males

I think those are some sorts of 'mating rituals', actually... confused

Do you play any computer games?

There are three of them: 'Criminal Case', 'Criminal Case - Pacific Bay' and 'Criminal Case - Save the World'. Also, there's another one that doesn't look bad: 'Pearl's Peril'. They are all on Facebook - just search: 'hidden object games'. purple heart

Do you play any computer games?

Criminal Case (it's on Facebook)? I tried to play a little, but got bored very fast.

Do you play any computer games?

The only computer game I have ever played is 'Pet City' on Facebook. It's a cute girly game. heart wings I used to play much more before, but not so much now. Still, every now and then, I find it fun to buy new clothes and decorate the house for my pet. heart1 laugh

What kind of games do you play?

RE: …Do women want to be judged on their looks?

You like natural look and there's nothing wrong about it. My grandfather had the same taste as you and my grandmother never wore any make-up or dyed her hair. He actually shared your opinion and always told my mom and me that natural women are the most beautiful. You just need to find the woman who thinks the same as you. There are many women like that. purple heart

RE: …Do women want to be judged on their looks?

That's a simplified way of thinking. :)

For example, we all know that men don't care about nails or nail polish and things like that. Still many women invest a lot of their time and money in making their nails beautiful. They do that for their own pleasure and fun. It has nothing to do with men. :)

RE: …Do women want to be judged on their looks?

Maybe women just have more interest in beautiful things and like to make things more beautiful than they naturally are. heart1

RE: Liquor In The Front, Poker In The Rear

A nice dancing floor, so that we can dance all night long! dance

RE: Your experience or opinion......

When you are in love, everything changes. You become your better self - nicer, kinder, more patient, more tolerant... All problems aren't that big any more and difficult things are easier to endure. Somehow, everything becomes more beautiful and - shiny. You are inspired and motivated. You feel joy and want to share it. Just being with the person you are in love with is - enough.

It's a wonderful feeling. Too bad it doesn't last for a long time...

RE: Who takes the initiatives, corresponding first, after reading a profile.???

One Japanese friend of mine says that it's better to ignore someone you don't like than to send a message where you more or less obviously decline them. He says it makes less harm, because if they see your reply in their inbox, they will be happy - just to get disappointed a moment later when they realize you just wrote to say 'no'. It does make some sense... confused

I also replied to everyone before, even with just one sentence, but I stopped doing it when the age difference is really too big or the profile is obviously fake or the message is just one short sentence, like: 'Hi, how are you?'.

RE: Astrology

At the moment, it doesn't seem like that, but time will tell. wink

Your words sound comforting. cheers wink

RE: Table manners!

I'm rather tolerant about other people's behaviour. Even if it is not very pleasant - what can you do? I remember once going on a date with a man who started singing the song that was playing in the restaurant during the dinner and looking at me with eyes full of admiration. I think he thought I would be glad and flattered. I tried to smile and to ask him questions in order to make him stop singing and start talking, but it didn't help much. So I had to wait patiently until he finishes his 'courtship'. laugh I was a little embarrassed, but after all, he didn't have bad intentions...

RE: Share What You Are Listening To -- Part 30 - 11

RE: Astrology

Yes.

Yesterday I got hexagram 59. I haven't consulted I Ching for a long time and when I saw it (no changing lines) I knew this was not good news (although the explanation suggested otherwise)! laugh And it wasn't. I didn't sleep all night and cried for 2 hours today. laugh

I came back to CS to cheer myself up a little bit. heart1

So, you think that Saturn coming back home to Capricorn won't have a VEEEEEERY bad effect on my love life for the next 1,5 years, despite my Moon and Venus being in Capricorn? Please, say it won't. crying laugh

RE: Sleep

I know I'm already boring with this suggestion, but have you tried listening to Michael Sealey? You can find many videos on his youtube channel. They helped me a lot in some periods when I had trouble sleeping. They especially work well at night, when the body is already ready for sleep, although I did try some of his meditations during the day and they were nice and relaxing.

RE: Share What You Are Listening To -- Part 30 - 11

How to prevent yourself from contacting your ex?

laugh laugh laugh

I'm back. batting

But, just for a chat on forums and blogs. balloons

I tried that here, but it had the opposite effect. laugh I didn't even think about contacting my ex before spending some time on CS. laugh

I think this place is not good for our love life. scold professor

RE: Astrology

Yes, they do. :)

As a society - hardly, but we can try on a personal level.

It happened to me once - the same hexagram - 3 times in a row! I didn't like it's meaning, it was something like: 'there's no point in moving in any direction - the wise man knows when to stand still and when to move. This is NOT the time for any kind of action' and I wanted to 'do something about it' so much that I kept asking I Ching the same question and got the same hexagram 3 times! Then I stopped and accepted the reality. laugh
