So not only are you asking for our views, you are telling us beforehand what you want them to be. I suppose this is another example of your famous powers of rational debate.
It sometimes feels like it but when I see some people say how many years the've been here I feel like a newcomer. I've been here long enough to establish my friends and enemies, although there's always room for more of either, especially the enemies.
Isn't that how things work in real life too? Perhaps it's the difference between having been accepted as a member of the club and still being in the probationary, testing stage.
I haven't seen the film, otherwise my curiosity would probably already be satisfied, but, in the meantime, I would be interested to know the reason for the widespread fascination with this character:
I suppose it's all a matter of definitions, but, to me, it seems that most human beings live under socialism; certainly so in the west. We live in societies that provide infrastructure and institutions for the benefit of their populations. In return for these benefits, the inhabitants make a financial contribution in accordance with their own financial status. In order for these societies to function, their members have to cooperate and play their individual roles, serving the common good. That certainly sounds like socialism to me.
There's a certain type of American (more than adequately represented on this site) who flies into a panic at the mention of the word 'left'. To these people, anything to do with the left amounts to communism; which is plain ridiculous. No one in the Western World, apart from a few nutters, sees communism as anything other than a failed ideology. It's a bit like the Devil; a fictitious enemy to scare people with.

You do something you shouldn't, get banned for a while, then come back and carry on. What more is there to it?
