I think that, when it gets to the point where the terms on which we would be leaving the EU are known, the Great British public should be given the opportunity to decide whether to accept them or to remain in the EU. What could be more democratic than that?
Strictly speaking, if the interests of democracy are to be served, we should only be 52% out of the EU, and 48% still in. We need a deal that reflects those statistics.
