What Jesus taught and what God taught, are one in the same. God the father is a spirit, Jesus is the human manisfestaion of God. People throughout millenia have asked what God looks like. Jesus say's, if you have seen me, you have seen my Father. We are one. God the father is spirit and must be worshiped in spirit.
Not exactly running away, but similar...I woke on my 17th birthday to hear my parents arguing over whether I would return to school in the fall or go in the service. One said I was'nt smart enough for school (AD)the other said I could'nt handle discipline, so no to service. Four day's later I joined the Navy.
