During a brutal study at Harvard in the 1950s, Dr. Curt Richter placed rats in a pool of water to test how long they could swim in water. On average they’d give up and sink after 15 minutes. But right before they gave up due to exhaustion, the researchers would pluck them out, dry them off, let them rest for a few minutes – and put them back in for a second round. In this second round – they swim for 60 hours. How did they swim for 60 hours this time? since the rats BELIEVED that they would eventually be rescued, they could push their bodies way past what they previously thought impossible. If hope can cause exhausted rats to swim for that long, what could a belief in yourself and your abilities, do for you?
Well, it is true that nothing is perfect in this entire universe, but the perfection is a personal concept. The thing with which you are satisfied is perfect for you and someone else may be dissatisfied with the same thing, then that thing is imperfect for that other person.
Everything in the world is eager to be perfect. Change and refinement take place in everything until it reaches the perfect state. Perfection is a state where after reaching, the need for change or modification is ended. Perfection is a complete stable state. Life is the race from imperfection to perfection.
In 2006, there was no mobile tower near around my village, so there was very little network in the mobile phone, it was very difficult to talk. So I made a hanging-box in which the mobile could be fitted, and hung the box on top of a long bamboo. The network was good at the height and the talk was also done properly. To receive or cut the call, a mechanism (attached with two ropes) was installed in the box on both the buttons of the phone which could be pressed from the land by pulling the rope. I attached a flexible-pipe to the speaker and mic of the phone, we used to talk through this pipe from ground. There was a rope attached to the box, which used to raise the box up and down on the bamboo like a flag.
Every human is a creator in himself/herself, her/his needs compel her/him to create something. This creation can happen in any field, not only in physical-world but also in psychological-world.
The Power of Belief
I needed it too.
