The RNC needs to find someone very good to run next election. Not only to win but to start undoing some of the damage that has ben done to this country by 60 years of entitlement mentality.

Older guy told me he does not bother to worry about world issues because in 75 years none of the things predicted happend and what did happen was often unexpected.
I've been told an insane amount of gear used by the military is coming out of China now. Not a very bright move if true.
My guess for the threat to humanity will be famine related to disease attacking our crops that have no real genetic variety or perhaps some new and exciting disease attacking the human population.
Pandemic or epidemic has been the cry of wolf several times in the last few decades so when the real deal comes along it is possible that people will not give it proper regard.
Off hand I’d say it is that most people believe they are perfect and want someone in their lives they view as perfect.
The woman I ended up married to had trouble with the way I looked when we first knew each other. She got past it when she saw who I was rather than what I looked like.

The machines are not about God. There may be believers in the crowd but when the prime concern becomes mammon be it cash, a big building, pride or anything else worldly there is a problem.
I feel that faith is a very personal matter between ones self and the divine power. I identify as being a Christian but can still learn from and accept from other faiths.
I don’t really care for anyone trashing someone for their differences on such matters. That said I have friends that believe anyone who thinks there is any force in the universe greater than Al Gore is a silly mindless buffoon and others that think anyone who does not agree with them 100% on spiritual matters is headed to the big weenie roast. They all have as mush right to believe what they do as you and I do.

I'm nothing in the greater scheme of the universe. I believe many things but I know very little for certain. Being ignorant can be a great thing. If I knew all of the answers there would be very little to strive towards.

Basicly a man was out drinking and at the end of the night he gets up and falls flat on his face. Figuring some freas air will revive him he crawls outside and trys to stand up. CRASH!! flat on his face.
All the way home it's the same thing. Finally going the whole way home on hands and knees he drags himself into bed and passes out.

I control what I can and deal with the rest as best I can.
I suppose we can agree on media trying to change things. Plenty of saps out there willing to dance along with their tune too.
I don't really care about gender roles. I live my life as I see fit and figure everyone else will too. If someone is bothered by what another is doing they can walk away or, if there is damage being done, deal with the problem.
I'm not sure what you mean by women becoming more masculine. The men in my family all married fairly tough women. They're better at dealing with us and loads more fun to have around.
I have a lot more trouble dealing with the "I'm just a girl" types.
Controling people trying to remake others are a different problem.
Most of the men I was raised around did not buy into the media image of what it was to be a man.
They did what they needed to do to take care of their family be it working the back breaking job you hated to put food on the table, changing a diaper or dealing with two legged vermin.
The media trys to force an image on us of what it is to be a man. Usually that amounts to buying something be it a SUV or face cream to be "a man".
I'm poor and disagreeable. I'd just as soon live my life the way I see fit.
