Many were single when they joined, have made friends and enjoy the forums so choose to stay.
As long as they are honest about why they are here on their profiles I can't see any harm and can't understand why some people get so het up over it, not really any of their business, jmo
Never have understood it, what really bugs me is when people post a thread saying they are leaving because of someone else, name them the Pffft there gone, to me all they are doing is trying to stir things up which is nasty and childish jmo
Think it can depend on who ended the relationship and why.
Personally after the end of my last relationship I needed time, I thought I was ok and dated and then realize I wasn't, also think there is a danger you can hurt others without meaning to.
From what I have seen in some countries/cultures/religions people put up with being unhappy because divorce is either very difficult and socially unacceptable.
