I had 4 stepchildren most of the time it was great with no problems, but one of them was difficult and would manipulate and deliberately try to cause friction between me and her Father.

Its difficult when it comes to discipline and I found he would take her side, so in effect she felt she had got one over one me and would continue.

We are only getting one side of the story and I believe its far more complex. wine

Thats fine and your choice, but is coming across as very judgemental.

You are very young and i don't mean that in a judgemental way, but you have loads of time many woman in your age bracket have a lot of life to live and thats what they are doing.

Not sure whether in our parents generation they stayed together because it was expected and remained in unhappy relationships or they worked harder to make it work because it was so much harder to walk away wave hug

You are saying its a visit, so i really can't see its the right to be asking him if he'd be willing to support you confused think its far to much to soon you may not even get on, if a a guy asked me that and I hadn't even met him in person I would be very concerned and it would make me very wary.
