If you have ever lived away from home.. Was there anything in particular that you missed? I lived in New York for a while. I had to have Barrys Tea and Chef Brown Sauce.... Not together When I moved back home I missed..The Daily News.. Real Corned Beef..and Hot dogs... No smart answers... What am I saying.. Smart answers and Hijackers welcome
No Problem Vonney... Will have to make it after Pension day as well cos I went a bit mad spending at Christmas and bought a new tweed skirt and some lovely comfortable shoes
Just wondering if any other Old Biddies would be interested in organizing an Auld Ones day out. I think that you qualify if you are over 35. Sorry Bluebell... you have been publically stripped....... ....of your Old Biddy Status that is I was thinking of meeting reasonably early...Maybe go to the hairdressers...special on blue rinses now due to recession.. We could go for lunch... I also know a place where they are willing to puree food for those with denture problems... I thought that we could hit the Bingo Hall later.... as it seems that a lot of people think ...that is the only opportunity we will have to get near any balls
So who would be interested??? No dancing for me due to recent hip replacement
Yuk... Blue Nun.... ouch..think that was me in the 80's and Leeson Street...nightclubs that is.... how did they get away with serving such vile stuff...and that was only some of the male customers.... Just joking...meant the cheap wine..
Yeah it is a great hobby and time consuming...and expensive pre digital... the black and white shots I normally took could only be developed in Dublin or Belfast... Because regular black and white film which I am sure you know is c41 and is processed using a colour processor so it is not as sharp as professional black and white film I by mistake left a professional black and white film into a regular processing place and it came out blank Think my message is in your filter box
My digital is an Olympus..8 pixel...but has a 5 optical zoom My old film camera is a Canon rebel xs have a regular wide lens 28-70 mm lens but also have a 70-300... have got some amazing colour shots with that... have one of a fly sitting on a daisy and you can see his eyes.. Use the wide angled lens mostly with black and white film for people shots.
I did... and tried to mail you but people of my ilk are blocked Black and white photography is still alive. I even still use a non digital camera and professional black and white film I also use digital and do black and white and sepia on the computer but still have not gotten the same quality as using a 300mm lens and professional black and white film... just me
Ya wont pass me... I drive an old banger with a fake licence plate in the back window that says..póg mo thóin.. Well you probably would pass me...my old banger hardly moves
I get mixed up in Christy's songs... do you remember the line about the guinness ad? " As I sat looking up at the guinness ad.. I could never figure out..how yer man stayed up on the surfboard after fourteen pints of stout"... Think that might have been from a song called the dt's... appropriately enough... Farewell to the port and vodka to the harpic and the stout or something like that... Lisdoonvarna was also very funny..
Sure after the blue nun you wouldnt know what kind of creatures you would be seeing Its bad wine DW Is there a bad hangover icon? It was acceptable in the eighties...the eighties.. Hi Martin..Thanks for the welcome
