Hiya Dont know if I would fancy dining in the dark, is there candlelight at least. I mean I would look fantastic but would probably slobber quite a bit Sounds interesting...what is the chef's special?
I just find it amazing how talented these photographers were. They really had to set up a photo and work a camera, get exposures, light metering etc. all right in minimum time. I am such a point and shoot idiot
Ah sure I wouldn't know Kildare from a hole in the ground Is it a hole in the ground? Okay Outta here before I get lynched by the lilies Just joking, I do actually know a few sound Kildare people
Great Programme on RTE at the minute about a photographer. Fantastic old photos of Athy and of Samuel Beckett. Cant remember the photographer's name. He took one of the first photos of Princess Diana when she was a kindergarten teacher. The one where you could see through her skirt.....aha...now ye all remember it
Welcome to CS Mickey. Just wondering....is admitting to knowing Chuckles really good for your image...might not be the best introduction to the joint Oops...Hiya J.
You know...could you just for once go out and look like crap How are all your aches and pains....see sorry to point it out...but could be karma for pushing poor Nuala down 5 flights of stairs
You are quite the Social Butterfly Hess...on first name terms with Mrs Phil Hi Abceire.... Sure we women can never get it right, I think sometimes that society wants us to grow old gracefully but berates us for looking our age
Toity toid on toid There was a great character from Hells Kitchen who used to come into where I worked. Himself and a guy from Brooklyn were yapping one day. The Brooklyn guy had been dumped and ripped of by his girlfriend a real JAP. He was moaning that he had to live in his brothers basement and had no cable tv. I said to him "ah sure dont worry, I have rabbits ears myself" The hells kitchen guy turned to me and said " Yeah Mary, but you would never notice with your hair" To this day I call the Brooklyn guy Rabbits ears Will be meeting them in Manhattan in a few weeks Ok...enough NY bullS
Well I found the Americans over there were nothing like the tourists that we get here. Then again I mixed mostly with regular working class Americans, some of them were hilarious, I actually like the realy New Yawk accent No offense to Americans, tourist or otherwise. I preferred mixing with the Americans who did not have a great great grandmother from Ireland
lol...looking forward to my NY fix. I love the New Yorkers, great sense of humour,at least the ones I met. I worked in a dump in Manhattan (a revamped Blarney Stone) One of the regulars said it was "Stephen Kings Version of Cheers"
Well I will be there Friday Fortnight I love Manhattan, some crazy clubs in there. Too old for that craic now but I remember being in one where there were cages suspended from the ceiling all mad stuff. All different rooms that I didn't want to know what went on in there lol There was another great place on 14th St. upstairs was just like a huge living room. I love McSorleys even if it is a tourist joint Sorry for boring everyone... Have some
lol...could have..dont know..Dillons burned down too. What other place in Sunnyside... Did you know McGoverns on Skillman? It was a late night bar, well it closed usually about 8am I think Have you ever done the #7 Roundtrip?
