RE: August 7, ANNUAL BIRTHDAY BASH in Dublin

I agree, we all deal with stuff in different ways and if CS offers a distraction even if only a temporary one then what's the harm.
My sympathies on your loss Sativa Soul.
I dont know you or Slim Jim but you both seem like okay people.
I have to say I can relate to him when he says that something seemed funnier at the time of posting, I have done stuff like that and then thought...."Who let me out of the idiot box??? cringe".
Not taking sides or anything as I have no reason to and as a rule try not to get involved anyway.
Hope Sativa that you have people to support you through this time since you are seperated from your family. Take caresad flower

Hello there Neighbour lol
Yeah Donegal is fantastic, I get to have those views on a daily basis also.
I often take wrong turns and keep going just for the hell of it, I almost always have a camera with me and some of the scenery is just breath taking. I love just having the time to get out of the car and enjoy it without rushing.cheering cheering applause

RE: TAKE AWAY FOOD

If I am being really bad I love Indian, anything Jalfrezi and samosas.
Really like Sushi too, It's not all raw fish, the Calefornia rolls are vegetarian. Love the wasabibanana
Of course where I live having food delivered is unheard off which kinda takes the lazeness out of it when you have to drive up to 4 miles for it.

Recycling and Junk Mail

No wonder we are killing the planet...
When did all this junk mail start happening?
I know that we buy stuff and have to recycle the packaging but I myself get kinda pissed off with the junk fliers etc. that come through my letterbox.... leaves damn all room for recycling my beer cansdrinking drinking
One of the last times of politicians looking to be elected.. I got so much junk that I told the local guy who was up for election that I wanted the address of his office and that I would return his literature to him for recycling!
Sorry people.....again I am just venting about somethingblushing
I have opted for paperless billing for most of my utility bills etc. Yeah like that will save the planet when we are producing so much unnecessary paper waste...Again it is all about meblushing me, me, mebanana banana
Why the hell am I spending my time recycling stuff that comes unwanted through my doorfrustrated frustrated

RE: profile pictures?

Well speaking for myself,my profile pics are mostly piss taking ones.
I am not photogenic so most pics are where I was having a laugh.
I prefer natural looking photos of people.
Men with torsos and pecs pics....nah... I rather see a smiling face.
Women with pouting poses... again ..nah...
I just like to see a photo of someone that shows a wee bit of themselves.... just me..no offense to the pouts or the pecshug cheering banana
We can all put up a brilliant photo of ourselves when we looked good with make up etc. but I prefer to see a pic that shows a bit of personality.. again...just meblushing

RE: what are some of your favourite audiobooks

Is that not kinda like common sense?
We all need happiness, freedom and love?
We can all have it, I believe, if we are pretty much honest with the people in our lives.
I think that all that any of us want is personal happiness.
It should not be that hard to achieve. If we are surrounded by people who are supportive of us and who we support.True Friendship and relationships do not create a hive of jealousy or other negative stuff so that should be the easy part.
Greed is often a factor in human relationships whether it is for money or attention.
Then again, I really do have an oversimplified view of life, possibly because I am lucky enough in the personal area of my life to have supportive positive people around me who are not there for any other reason than they want to be and vice versa.
Damn...I am going to write the book but in the meantime what you have said interests me and I must read that bookwave

RE: what are some of your favourite audiobooks

Well hello there M.... How the hell are yahug hug
Doubt if the crap I read will ever make it on to audio... I am just a common garden variety type...back of cornflakes box readerblushing
I think I would find listening to a book while driving a wee bit distracting, I love to have my music on and bop along. Then again I might drive a wee bit slower if I was listening to a book so that might be a good thing. wave
You might be able to get audio books on e bay, ya think?

RE: what are some of your favourite audiobooks

The voices in my head sound way different too...phew thought I was the only one who had voices in my head cheering blushing
Damn you are talking about something else....aren't you?blushing
Actually have never used audio books or the e reader thing. I like to read the book, something about the smell of a book and turning pages plus the whole dog eared thing of favourite booksblushing
I know there is the whole argument that you can store so many books on these reader thingies and also the argument for audio books. Maybe with me it is nostalgia and the hours of enjoyment reading and swapping books when I was a kid. Plus I think that a bookshelf just looks so nice. Even though mine was pretty much battered together by myself with a hammer and nails when the whole screwdriver thing went awry.laugh
Anyway reading in any form even aurally has to be goodcheering cheering

RE: Creative Zen or iPod or other??
