Yikes...might have to take the coward pants off and rethink the driving thing.Well it's not the driving I mind it is bad weather and driving conditions that bother me :( 32 euro for bus from Ballyshannon to Dublin then 70 for the train. Ryanair flights are actually pretty cheap but the only return flight leaves around 7am.
I am posting this song because I love NYC... Also because it reminds me of my wee niece..she corrected me when I was singing the wrong words...she was three at the time and she was right !
Dont think that I can come up with a better answer than unos N... I am still laughing, the neighbours will be sending the men in the white coats for me soon
Hell No!!!....it would be like ignoring chain letters and the likes...who knows what strange illness would befall you....limbs turning green and falling off...all sorts of bad stuff lol. I would not advise ignoring tradition....So party on!!
Oops...meant to look before posting that link...anyway I posted that version cos I know the singer. In the meantime I am getting very nervous about going to the Cork meet....Men in Red Uniforms...hot Chocolate... mmmm all kinds of things....(luckily Not All Kinds of Everything...that's another thread) Bring it On...
I have often been told that I am intelligent, While I have appreciated people saying this to me. I have often felt like saying to the person..."Why, thank you so much, What is intelligence and how is it defined? What qualifies you to gauge my intelligence??" I myself do not actually know the definition of intellegence...apart from googling it...how intellegent of me!! When I was at National School....way back when....We did take an iq test, I scored well on it. I dont know why we had to take this test. What is the importance of an IQ test? Are they important to certain companies in the recruitment of potential employees? I would probably be a wee bit scared to have to take one, I think that I have gotten along this far and been found to be employable without having to know what my IQ is. Then again that might just be the wee bit of a rebel in me...I dont want any one thing to define me... Congratulations to the people that have scored well though
Heard just a wee bit of it on the Radio today. I think she said that she became a US Citizen in 1999 and has dual Citizenship Also something about her having a row with a sibling which ended up being ruled on in court...in the US I think.... Damn...she should go to confession for that one...sure all info would be safe because of the seal of Confession....
Spoke to a friend earlier....she is still not in a good place 15 years later... Bereavement to me can be a loss of a person to death... ...Loss of a partner..through marriage..or long term relationship Loss of a Friendship...Loss of a child.... Miscarriage... Loss of dreams that could have been...
Do we give each other a chance to talk about any of it? Could we try to understand loss and not judge the other person, can we sympathise and empathise?
Howaya V...I know that we have discussed "Kevin" before...I loaned the book to someone so stop giving out to me for not having read it..plus the darkness of it did scare me a wee bit
Okay..statistics and books yeah..I still like to believe in the individual....
The Person makes the Person...but what makes the Person??? I am still leaning towards Nurture over Nature?? I am not asking about lifestyle or being affluent etc. I am talking about personal traits, personality, how we treat others?
I have three adopted cousins...the oldest one is just about 6 years younger than me,She reminds me very much of her adoptive father, she has the same mannerisms etc... I definitely believe in genetics...sure we cant fight that...but I suppose my question is about behaviour What makes the Person???
Ah..the book that I have not read... I tend towards believing that nurture has the bigger part...Adoptive parents for example may take a newborn and raise him/her with all good and positive values...can that not over ride innate traits?
