I think that would be perfect Fraya....I would be eagerly anticipating WS's take on that speech. Hope you are well, haven't seen you much since the days that we were on the bus!
I was going to go out and meet friends that I haven't seen for a while but I got lazy and it was not near where I live. Signs of me being a real auld wan, I decided to stay home cos I am working tomorrow.. I actually like going out on New Years Eve if I am not working, then again I only go to Culchie locals which are not too mad normally.
Yay....I am still a saddo on CS on New Years Eve Have you lot got nowhere else to be???? Eh...I had loads of invitations to go out...I eh just chose to stay in...that's my story and I am sticking to it.... Happy New Year everyone
Yeah, we all knock the place but we still log in!!! Personally, I have met some great people on here. I have made some good friends and have met my other half on here. I have a life outside of here...always had...but this is a place where I have passed some time and met some great people... I hope to meet more of you in 2013.. Happy New Year everyone...
Best of luck Martini, shame to see you leaving, although we didn't interact much you lightened this place up with your posts. Hope you have a fantastic Christmas and all the best for 2013
Jeez....freaky...are you stalking me?...I had just been looking at a Newspaper online and wondering how much online readership effects newspaper sales....yikes I rarely buy newspapers anymore half the time they are just thrown there unread apart from sometimes at the weekends.
No...I don't have any friends ....Well...cats...cats count as friends right Filly?? I have 26 friends yay Afternoon Filly, hope you are keeping between the ditches in Sligeach! Sorry... Re mails, I reply most of the time when I get a chance. Re friends, Yeah I do have friends in the real world but I have also met great people from here and have had manys a nights craic in their company...I think this place as in real life is just what you make of it...Oh yeah... I don't have any cats....yet
Hi AB, Haven't had a chance to read all the fun facts but I like the one about posting the kids....Jeez, Michael O' Leary would hate that. Parents get a cheap flight and post the kids I had a flat mate once who always unplugged the microwave...and I just thought she was a bit OTT miserly.. Re-: o keep someone in prison in the UK costs £45,000 a year: one and a half times as much as it would take to send them to Eton That's deadly...do it I say! It would be a very interesting social experiment Well unless the jailbird to be was a banker ( oh silly me...they dont ever get sentenced!)as I would prefer to see people from different areas of society mingling in Eaton....Okay...caffeine time for me. Thanks for the fun thread
Ah you did it because of your ego...I know your type (helloooo...Austin Powers..mini me syndrome!!) Oh who is Mister Wise...does he clean houses by any chance??...oh sorry just me...shiny things
Well, from what I have seen you have worked hard and even though you have had some tough times you don't moan about it, you just get on with it. You have never been the "poor me" person but seem to have focused on the positives in your life. Fair play to you...and the best of luck in all areas of your life
What a wise person your boss is. I am sure that the best reason to have kids is to leave your mark on this world. Nothing egotistical about that at all. I stupidly thought that deciding to have a kid would mean bringing a human being (not a mark!) into this world because you really wanted to be a parent to a child that you would love and raise to be the best person that they could be...not just a mark...then again..I am not a parent..
From the little that I know about you E. You have a lot to show for your life. You have qualifications and a career. You have come through a bereavement and shown what a caring person you are. (Before anyone thinks that I am getting personal here, I know this from your posts.) You are nearly 29...wow...I don't even remember that far back In my opinion you seem like a pretty sound person. I don't think that anybody needs marriage or kids to have something to show in life, that does not define one as a person. I think it can absolutely enhance your life but it is more important to be your own person first...and I think that you most definitely are...
I agree, I don't have kids but I have nieces and nephews and other kids in my life. I couldn't vote cos I could not get out of work. Oh yeah...haven't read this thread... apologies everyone. I think that it is important that whether or not you are a parent you pay attention to the impact that it has on the lives of children and families. It is our society after all.
Jeez...must read the book Against my better judgement I actually have all three on my kindle..(what can I say..I gave into the hype!)...have read about twenty pages of the first one...seems like a load of cobblers...dunno if I will ever read them.... Lee Childs has a new book out, think that will be better.
I can't vote, I am working on Saturday...and before people jump in about poll booth opening times.. I start work at 3:30 pm on Friday and I dont finish until 9:30am on Monday... What a stupid day to have voting..
Think it was his first book. He is an American sports writer..or was.. This is a real factual book. This guy Morrie was Mitch's College lecturer...He ended up going to visit him one Tuesday cos Morrie was terminally ill...ended up going to see him til Morrie died..It is an amazing book about the relationship with a dying person and their outlook on life...really fantastic and not depressing in my opinion. He also wrote a book called "One More Day" This is a fictional thing but it is about what you would do if you had one more day with someone that you have lost.. I still think that "Tuesdays with Morrie " is the best of his books but the others are good also..
As usual, I have not read all of the thread... I am a bogger and I could not imagine dating a townie... I would not feel equal...surely the townies are superior to us? I would not be able to converse with them.. I would imagine that they would talk about built up areas with shops and all kinds of foreign things that I would know nothing about. They might even have read books or been to nightclubs... Personally speaking, I think that I should stick to what I know. While other Boggers might have the confidence to date city folk, I don't think that I could ever do it. I think that Townies should stick with their own and that we boggers should do the same. Again personally speaking I don't see any need to go out of the comfort zone. Fair play to the wans that want to though
Meet myself? Why? I already know me I would rather meet Oscar...hmmm wonder where "God" has put him... Sure I can't even find my glasses...memo to self.. Look for Oscar
Why did you not name this thread....I am a DICKHEAD?? I honestly dont pay any attention to a lot of stuff on here. Actually I am being very rude cos I am not on here regularly so I must apologize to you.. I am very sorry for my opening statement, so please tell me... What is your thread about? It looks innocent enough and directed towards men so again I apologize, like myself you are obviously not on here for dating. If you dont mind, I will keep an eye on the poll just because I cannot believe that there are men out there who would waste their time answering or women that would waste their time being with such men....then again...what is life if it is not a learning experience? Good luck with yer thing anyway and I hope it leads to you getting a date
Seriously lads... I personally believe that life can be a lot of fun...so I don't get the whole negativity thing...either on here or in the real world. I believe that life is going to throw crap at you at some stage so just enjoy the non crappy days and have a blast...yay
...but if there is no negativity..will batteries still work..don't want my phone to die Okay...post anything I want...hmmm... Heard a funny expression today... She has a face like a busted crunchie...well it made me laugh anyway....Well it was short lived..they were talking about me! Evening all
