I went off on Holidays on my own in 2008. Went to Cyprus..never having been there..Hired a Jeep and went all over the joint.
Took a day trip to Egypt...
Had a fantastic time and met some Brilliant people along the way..People were really nice to me..A few English girls invited me to dinner one evening..we had a great night.
Would totally recommend it.

I have to say that although I might not always agree with Scribhneoir..myself and himself got off to a very bad start
I have always found him to have a fair argument and I believe that he is fair to other people and receptive to opinions..even if he says OUT LOUD that he is of a different opinion. I think if you sat back you might see that he is actually a decent person
I have never thought that he presents himself in anyway superior intelectually or otherwise...apart from that Damn Liverpool thing..

"First Family" is the David Baldacci book, I enjoyed it. It is hard to find books of this kind that are original.
Yeah I have kind of outgrown Patricia Cornwell but then again that is probably because I have read all of her books pretty much by now and I think when you do that the writing does become a bit predictable. I still like Jeffrey Deaver but again have read all of his books or almost all, still have one unread that I bought in New York recently.
Have you read "The Kitchen Gods Wife" by Amy Tan?I have it here also.
"Wild Swans" was also a great book,I thought.
I find sometimes though that when I read a book that is based in a particular era my ignorance of history is so apparent

Yeah, Thank God for that and unfortunately it is not that awful long ago. I hope that the funding for resource teachers and Speech therapists will continue to be made available.
On another note.
I have heard stories from Health Care Professionals about how adults with learning disabilities were treated as recently as twenty years ago and it is horrific to imagine that it is only so recently that we have moved forward.
Hopefully there will always be dedicated teachers who will fight for funding etc.
On a positive note, I am thankful for lemsip (even if it totally kills the taste of coors light and I have to drink tea instead )
