Chatting with some younger people at work the other day and I was astonished to hear that they still get the 'So, when are you planning to settle down and have children?' thing from older people
I only saw this mentioned on a tv program by Western women who were successful in their field
I found it patronising as I've never had any doubt about my strengths, skills and talents as a woman, as well as those who surround me, hence don't require a special day to applaud my gender.
It should be aimed at women in impoverished countries who work far harder than us and have no voice or celebrity.
I've had this discussion with a loved one whose life has been affected by mental illness, his intelligence still shining through, his perplexity with the humdrum attitudes of the sheeples continuing...
