What I take away from a site such as this is that it's one dimensional
We engage with those who appeal to us, in terms of intellectual equality, humour, moral values and all the other attributes that we find attractive in others in everyday life
Personally speaking, I don't take any of it to heart until I've met someone face-to-face, male or female, as that's when it becomes multi-dimensional ~ Real
I've read through your narratives a couple of times, not quite sure what you're looking for here but it sounds like something I would like to get involved with
I know my daughter will look after me and heed my wishes when the time comes
She doesn't want to talk about it, I understand that, but as I get older I would like my offspring to come to terms with the fact that I'm not gonna be around forever either
I've shown my son where all my important documents are stored, when I kick the bucket it might make things a bit easier
Your threads are always so thought-provoking Frisky
In my mid-thirties, I realised my mother was ageing (my father passed away when I was 13) and I became concerned as my marriage was in decay and there was no way I would entertain the idea of her coming to live with us
She was a very independent woman and the thought of her going into an aged care facility was unimaginable also
Sadly she discovered she had cervical cancer and passed away at the age of 74, I was 39 at the time, so I guess my parents spared me that decision
RE: What is our experience of Emotional intelligence ?
Yep, I get it
