I love the white ring around the eyes. Looks like someone took white out and drew a circle. Nice shot thumbs up I am not familiar with birds names, what kind of bird is this one? Looks almost like one of our hawks, leaving the circle out.

RE: what do you want to do before you die????

I hope you find that. I wish for myself to live each day to its fullest and to always be able to see the rainbow even when it is raining. wave

RE: Men intinidated by independent women?

I have run into this the last couple of times I have tried dating. Tho both men gave me their reasons why it bothered them I did not understand. I always hear like what is posted here. The majority of the men want an independent woman. I really liked the one man. But his goal was to get me to quit working and become dependent on him. I realized with him it was a power thing. A control issue. I have never been controllable with or without money so I knew that was not going to work laugh Both men made good money more than me. I really do not know if it was the income, job, or that I am their equal. Funny but not so funny both relationships ended up costing me money. More than they worth. Now I am skiddish as hell and will be more careful. blues

RE: How do I deal with The Silent Treatment?

grin thumbs up

RE: Woman here are lier

There are some that are game players. Male and female. It is a fact. Not just this site but many. Learn to spot them and move on. They are also there in your every day life. I don't know longer wonder why....it is far to deep of a subject for me to fix. Best wishes to you on your search. wave

RE: How do I deal with The Silent Treatment?

You ask with how to deal with the silence? Continue living. As you mentioned it is a internet based relationship so get dressed go out have some fun and when you get back check to see if the conversation has moved forward. One of the best things about texting and messaging you can read it at your convenience. Please do not even start trying to figure out why one is silent. It could be from a multitude of reasons. And since you have not met in person it is difficult for you read body language. For all you know he could be over there involved in playing an online game or something dunno Life is short. How you live yours is your choice. Each moment you waste is a moment you will not get back. Over a year is a long time to cyber date. Have you skyped? Do you know what a date really is? Dating is the time people use to see if they are compatible and want to move on to a deeper more meaningful relationship. It is something that old dinosaurs like myself remember. Keep it in the right perspective. Please enjoy your life. And don't adopt others bad attitudes or vibes. Now put on your happy face and let him have his silence and space. You go out and enjoy yourself.

I hope one day a snake don't end up inside them, the fear has struck me when I have seen a snake slither past me over my shoe. blues

RE: June Photo Comp - "Pets"

hmmm He kinda has that I have not returned from the 1970's yet look. I will pretend to believe him tho grin

His expression reminded me of a couple of weeks ago. Whilst at the beach this bird was standing on the shore screaming at the ocean. I had never quite seen anything like it before. It actually was a little heartbreaking. He appeared to be physically ok. Why would a bird do that Rob? I took many pictures of him. He was near where I had been sitting so I thought maybe he would be a good subject.

RE: June Photo Comp - "Pets"

Aw Merri Florida is gorgeous grin Most the animals that are wild try to avoid the areas that are occupied by humans. Once in a while tho someone will wake up to a alligator in their pool or on their door step. Not often usually they stay in the marshes and swamp areas. Not to far from where I live now. I grew up that way. And loved it. Back then youth afforded me the ignorance of how dangerous the animals were. I use to swim in a creek with gators sunning on the otherside. Taught my children whilst swimming keep an eye open for eyeballs coming at them laugh Now I have matured I swim in the ocean and pray I don't stumble across a shark mumbling yet now if I pulled up at a swimming hole and seen gators I would never get in the water there. I actually do not know of a country that does not have some kind of devasting weather or dangerous animal in it. I live in a populated area now. Tho I do have raccoons, possums, squirrels etc....they are more a nuisance than a fear. Sometimes our wild animals will get rabies. Does Australia have rabies? Not the country but sometimes in your wild animals? uh oh

The big cat was not indigenous to my area. At one time years and years before my birth there were train tracks in that area. The trained had an accident and as rumors have passed down thru the years sprinkled with truth and imagination the story is said it was a circus aboard the train (which is suppose to be truth) they have a town here in Florida where most our circus people retire too. Don't know why just has always been dunno And every now and then they find something unexplainable in that marsh such as the large cat and that is the fuel for more stories of the train. I have never seen it but they say there are animals sometimes you see out there similar to a big foot and also one similar to a lochnest monster. wow Don't know if you can read it Merri but here is the old news paper article on the big cat. Slightly wrinkled, the paper not Roger. tho he is slightly wrinkled today uh oh Just in case he ever sees this I would like to add professor Still one of the most handsome men I have ever seen and also taught much about living in swamps and being able to survive on what nature provides.

RE: June Photo Comp - "Pets"

I really don't remember seeing gator in the grocery store. Tho some of the resteraunts serve it around here. They only let you hunt gator certain times of the year. When I was little girl you could not hunt them at all. It was illegal. My grand children and children will pick up the silliest of animals. She really should not be picking them up dunno I do have a lot of respect for the gator. They can move faster than a lot of people think and do a lot of bodily harm. We have foxes, wolves, bears, raccoons, possums, armidillos and a whole bunch of other animals native to this area. You are not missing anything without them. They can be a pain in the butt. We have several large breeds of cats. A friend of mine actually killed a 250 pound jaguar years ago. No one knows how it ended up in our stick marsh. Said if it was someones pet it had been in the wild a long time. I do believe that was the biggest cat in this area. Do you have marshes and swamps in New Zealand? And what are council rates? writing It is not like a tax is it wow

RE: June Photo Comp - "Pets"

RE: June Photo Comp - "Pets"

Not for voting and have posted this before. I think uh oh Grand daughter holding a sweet young gator....don't look at her pj bottoms. She did not dress for this event. Young uns not like they were in my time. We dressed to go to the grocery store dunno

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----

Looks to me she might be holding that gator a tad to tight. But they do have sharp teeth even this small.

cool.....Did you know south Florida is the only place that has Alligators and Crocodiles living side by side. Most lands can have one or the other not both. At least that is what I have been told so be careful where you step whilst saving me. I do so love the gators, the crocs are a little crabby blues Not many bears in my area tho grin

Could not understand a word they said uh oh

Oh dear hope I can explain this. Must not be an expression in your area sigh When someone talks a long explanation here we might sometimes say when thru " Whew that was a mouthful " as in words ......so since we do not talk on the forums we type I replaced mouth with fingers uncertain Soon I will be getting ready for work. That is more scary than the bears, crocs, and gators combined. Just walking thru the gossip meal here lately without being cut to shreds is a trick crying Have a good day or evening or what ever time you read this bouquet
