if you listen to African Americans in the know, you will hear that the soul thing holding many African Americans back is the unwillingness on their part to break away from their black exclusive neighborhoods and move out into and integrate in diverse neighborhoods.

Yes, I'd like to read that study. None of that sounds right to me. Points are always automatically added to minority and female applications for employment here. They even get more points than most veterans of recent foreign wars.

This may be true in Florida where I've observed the worst elementary school systems, but it's simply not the case up north here, especially in Columbus, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan.

I can only think of one recent shooting fatality by police. Which ones are you thinking of?

To answer your question, though, having more black police officers in predominantly black neighborhoods might help some things. Police forces can't seem to recruit them though.
