The president of the USA, and his family, certainly does have a budget; actually, they have several. If the president orders a lavish dinner banquet to impress a foreign dignitary, the cost for it is on the taxpayer. If he orders a white castle hamburger, while studying flatulence, the cost is billed the president.
Yep, politicians around these parts would be considered pretty dumb if they left elected public offices without having slush funds flush with cash, or otherwise poor.
Actually, in the spirit of equality, first thing I would do as leader of the world is decree that everyone (with few exceptions) must wear 'only' a diaper in public places and everything would be gender-blind.

If you really want to experience bad drivers, you've got to experience driving in Rome or Naples, Italy. They are so bad that their normal driving is like beyond the worst road rage you will ever see anywhere else.

Really, we didn't care much about the UK's rules and or most taxes. What tripped early American's triggers was the UK's refusal to accept our currency because the UK king wanted only gold to pay on his war debts.
