I think the present minimum wage should be reset back to the 1968 one of $1.60 per hour. Doing so would overnight incentive these earners to seek a better career path than McDonalds.

Yeah, but I think its incredible when parts of the world look down on the USA believing we are in the Middle East for our interest in oil. Truth is, our military prescience has kept the oil flowing there for others.

I'm not sure if my little mind can grasp all of that. I don't even understand our disregard for our country's unbelievably large debt and, yet, willingness to spend more money to fight ISIL and to keep oil flowing in the Middle East for others, (like Europe) when we don't need that oil. The reason for recent decreasing value of some precious metals escapes me too.

I'm hoping technology develops to liquify natural gas for us to produce and market it Europe cheaper than Russian can ever discount their natural gas.

The strongest leading economy going on right now is the USA's. I believe the best investments that can be made is in the U.S. dollar. It is emerging, again, as a winner. And since we are no longer on a gold standard, holders of U.S. dollars can not demand redemption for gold like some euro countries did purposely in an effort to devalue the American dollar's strength for a few decades following WWII.

For obvious reasons, I believe our president of the USA is reluctant to sacrifice more of our women and men in our military, without other involved countries also doing the same. Actually, I think the UK and the rest of Europe should be in the front lines with boots on the ground in this war with ISIL; with the USA ONLY providing air strikes and support.

The Middle East leaders already admit openly that they need to do something together in the future to prevent ISIL from rearing its ugly head again. This may prove difficult for these leaders because they are separate powers competing in a various global markets.
