I witnessed something like that once. It was raining and I was stopped at a traffic signal. The intersecting road climbed steeply to my left. Hearing a screeching sound first, I then see a motorcycle rolling sliding down to a rest in front of me. Not far behind it was the helmeted rider skidding along on his butt with his feet in front of him... arms at his side. Luckily, for him, he was wearing leathers.
In the far West (USA) we have two major groups of religions.
Capitalists -- dollar-worshipers: people who get out there and work for what they have. -- Love their freedoms to pursue, and their homes, cars and other possessions. -- They are charitable and love doing things for others. -- getting to where they can't keep their health care plans.
and
Obamanists -- dollar-worshipers: people who want something great for less or want others to pay for what they have. -- Love big government and their new cell phones. -- expect others to do things for them. -- Have affordable health care.
Preferably, we all want to buy low, sell high. So, question: If most savvy gold buyers find Gold too expensive for their investment portfolio today, why would they pay ten-times more for it when it's an opportune time for you to sell? dunno
It is my understanding that Corn has become more than just a staple food crop. It is now an everyday ritual for millions in your country.
NAFTA and Corn Production in the United States is one way Mexican farmers and whole communities there, have been exploited by both U.S. and Mexican governments.
With no import tariffs in place, the U.S. Mega-Farms, having subsidizes from the U.S. government, can sell corn to Mexico for less than what it cost the Mexican farmer to produce.
This situation drives down the demand for Corn crops grown in Mexico, displacing and sending more Mexicans looking for work North to the U.S.
No one can tell me that this end (Expanded Mexican Worker Exploitation) result wasn't predictable.
For this reason, and others, I believe, non-violent, working Mexicans in the U.S. should be given U.S. Citizenship. Problem with doing this means their labor here will be reported and taxed.... as it should be but this leaves them in a worse position since they have less money to support their families there, or here.
