It is my understanding that Corn has become more than just a staple food crop. It is now an everyday ritual for millions in your country.
NAFTA and Corn Production in the United States is one way Mexican farmers and whole communities there, have been exploited by both U.S. and Mexican governments.
With no import tariffs in place, the U.S. Mega-Farms, having subsidizes from the U.S. government, can sell corn to Mexico for less than what it cost the Mexican farmer to produce.
This situation drives down the demand for Corn crops grown in Mexico, displacing and sending more Mexicans looking for work North to the U.S.
No one can tell me that this end (Expanded Mexican Worker Exploitation) result wasn't predictable.
For this reason, and others, I believe, non-violent, working Mexicans in the U.S. should be given U.S. Citizenship. Problem with doing this means their labor here will be reported and taxed.... as it should be but this leaves them in a worse position since they have less money to support their families there, or here.
And not all gold bars (u.s. Gov. held) are of the same composition. I'd buy more gold today if it was presently selling for around $950.00 per Troy ounce.
I recall getting my first pair of glasses at 11 months and getting whacked when I was 3 for peeing on my grandmothers grape vines. She made really great grape jelly.
Incredible! Like the interviewees said... anything you see on the stock market floor is just a 'photo op' with the real transactions going on behind the scenes. I knew the entire process was pretty much automated but I never thought anyone would be allowed to operate legally, as exposed on 60-Minutes Sunday.
