I'm just wondering, if Allah / God is so merciful and always forgives us believers and non-believers, what is the point with all this sin / forgiveness business. What does it matter at this point, ever?
Carrie Amelia Moore Nation, member of the Temperance movement, motherly and a bit of a over-zealous religious type, was probably the person most responsible (imo) for pushing Prohibition in the USA. She is known to have promoted her views through vandalism.
Around 1920, the Eighteenth Amendment of our Constitution effectively established the prohibition of alcoholic beverages in the USA by declaring the production, transport and sale of illegal alcohol illegal. Consumption and possession were not included.
I don't know why, but while thinking of Amalfi, I recall the town of Largo as depicted in the 1973 American Western movie 'High Plains Drifter' starring Clint Eastwood
Spike Lee got it right with everything and everyone in his ’89 movie ‘Do the Right Thing;’ especially with Rosie Lopez
Great movie… heart penetrating for me….. love and empathy is predominant throughout as this film really makes you try and understand how the other guy is motivated…. thinks… imo
Anyone else try this Ice Application at home?

oooops Really? In a way, I guess you are correct. Today, we use the Gregorian calendar, which is a reform of the Julian calendar, which is a reform of the Roman calendar?

I love those locations too, especially the views along the little footpaths in Capri.
It took me some time to get used to driving along the coast there, though, on those cliff-hanging narrow roads between Napoli and Amalfi. It was interesting as well, to see the graffiti and local art displayed on the walls and public benches at rest stops.
Then, it seemed like everyone living there must be in love. I kept reading 'Ti Amo' (so and so), everywhere.
Because of the highly probable environmental risks for toxic contamination of public water systems, as well as permanently harming general ground and surface water bodies, this is one issue I do not find myself on the conservative side.
Unlike Al Gore's irrational global warming nonsense, the environmental risk assessments for the pipeline are based on real science and are well documented. They should not be ignored, imo. Arguably, adequate available safe clean potable water could possibly be a reason for a very big world conflict.
RE: ROCKED!
Ok, thanks for the explanation. Makes sense to me. I'd probably require things the same way if I were God.
