Yes, I've watched both seasons of Vikings. Ex Earl, now King, Ragnar Lothbrok (Regner, Regnar) and family will probably go on to raid in France and England again in season 3.

In real life, I believe, Ragnar met his fate by being thrown into a pit of venomous snakes by another King in England. Ragnar's sons avenged him. I think His Brother Rollo takes a liking to Normandy.

I haven't seen anything romantic about all the violence in this recount of the Norsemen though, especially the blood eagle episode.

Rather liked the season finale. Kind of thought all along that Floki would stay true to Ragnar and Bjorn. King Horic had a smashing end, didn't he......

That's interesting, but I believe that Lohner-Porsche built the first truly gas-electric hybrid auto named the Elektromobil around 1900-1901, and E.W.Hart bought it from them. It might also be the first four-wheel-drive vehicle.

maybe some aspects are primitive, others aren't...... the transportation and communication infrastructures there in Italy (imo) are better than here. Outside of a few cities, most places have only one mode of people-mover here... the auto/motorcycle/truck etc.

I also noticed digital voice and data phone service is better there. Some people here can't take cellular calls while inside their homes.... seriously... and yet I found while there, I had five-bars signal strength on my cellular phone inside a tunnel under a mountain better than half way between Rome and Giulianova.

If you want to travel back in time, literally, go to Ukraine or Russia ... the farther East you go ... the farther back in time you'll find yourself (except in the larger cities) (imo).

I'd vote for Berlusconi in a heartbeat....

Expanding on that, the toilets there do frickn SUCK , especially those found inside the Vatican. I walked into a stall there and found toilet paper, a flush handle and a hole in the floor. It's just a round hole, maybe a foot in diameter, in the middle of the stall's floor. Nowhere else in my limited travels have I had to squat while taking a dump without a seat. At least they provided toilet paper!
