Actually, yes. A realization in life at twenty-seven years old, was that I am a loner at heart and have always been. Wish that I had recognized this when I was a teenager, would have saved a lot of people heart break, including myself. I tried to conform in the ways of society, by matching myself-up as a partner to someone, I was even a spouse, twice in life. Both marriages lasted less than five years. On average, a relationship with a girlfriend last for less than nine months. I'm in no hurry to meet anyone. Maybe someday.

Yes, I like being alone and always have.

I like being non-alone as well, though.

Part of that is that I'm learning different skills which makes being non-alone more fun. In turn, part of that is about relying on myself for my evaluation of me and not relying on others to evaluate how I think, or feel.

I'm getting the hang of being me even when surrounded by others who make interpretations of me, or have certain expectations of me. Those interpretations and expectations are to do with them and their life experiences. Sometimes those evaluations of me ring true, sometimes they're way off the mark. I'm getting better at telling the difference between what's to do with me and what's to do with others.

Yes I do. It is less complicated and I must admit I always seem to get my own way. I am unsure now if I am suitable for living with another. Tho a part of me is thinking here lately about giving it a try. I am scared to death to give up what I have now the solitude. Yet I have met someone whom makes me extremely happy. Sadly he lives two hours away so he is talking about the next step of our journey while I am sitting here thinking. He makes me feel loved and happy. I have not felt this way since my mom and husband passed away. Fear is the one thing I have learned that seems to stop the living process. Maybe I should just get back to you on an answer to this question. I am unsure how much I like my solitude. blues

My mind has no problem with being alone, however there are times when my heart feels the emptiness that loneliness brings.

alone I enjoy, lonely not at all .

I never consider fill out “loneliness” with someone to fill that “space”. if I do that, definitely it will grow into being lonely. I think understand and know what it is that we want… in life is the key.

“Lend yourself to others, but give yourself to yourself.”.
