I often wonder in my moments of despair
If I were to die today would anybody truly care
Will they be at my bedside as I slowly slip away
Or will they be off on an adventure many miles away
Will it be quick or will it be slow
Who will be there when I finally go
What hearts will break what lives will shatter
For the loss of someone who doesn't really matter
So when that day inevitably comes for me
I hope those I love will be there for me to see

The storm has passed the waters did subside
I'm here I'm strong I'm glad to be alive
Long lasting darkness now turns to a shining bright light
I'm still standing I will not give up the fight
No longer will I run from my dark and Dreary past
I now look forward to see my future at last
I will gladly walk through fire to forever be with you
The love burning in my heart is true
The pain and the struggle I could not hide
Now hopeful I remain that you'll be by my side

Words spoken but can they be heard
Hearts broken with just one word
Weak is how the broken feel
Until they find the strength that helps them heal

Will I be strong enough
to over come the fear
When my time on this earth
inevitably draws near

Will my name just be another
leaf on my family tree
How will I be remembered
whence my spirit ceases to be

Have I the ability to become
more then I am
Need I do more in order to
prove that I can

I wish the answers I seek
were more clear to me
Perhaps though that's the way
it was meant to be

Where will we find the strength
in which to allow our broken hearts to mend
Where will this path we are on
lead us in the end

What memories has time slowly masked
with it's veil blurring our minds
What stories have been lost
on the path we left behind

How do we rekindle that fire
that once fueled our hearts
How do we let go of the past
and make today our future's start

To speak the truth
may bring forth only pain
Though to say nothing at all
will bring much the same
There are words that
must be said
If only to clear the thoughts
held captive in our head
No mater how deep those words
they might cut us
To say what needs to be said
is how we will build trust

How do i let go of you
when you linger in my mind
I am haunted by your absence
only sadness did you leave behind
I want so much to move on
though the pain worsens with you gone
Stuck somewhere between now and then
wishing I could free your image from my head
With others I have tried to feel
but nothing ever seems to feel as real
My emotions now numb
no feelings are left inside
All I am left with
are the tears I have cried

My sky your sky
grey sky blue sky
I cry you cry
together we did try

My heart your heart
whole heart broken heart
I part you part
together we fell apart

It is time to cast out
all of my inner pain
No longer will my eyes
see only rain
Now I open a brand new chapter
in the hope of finding my
happily ever after
I choose not to let the anger
that I have inside
consume my soul or eat away
at my pride
We were meant to say goodbye
the moment we said hello
Still I refuse to be held back
by all of the sorrow
We loved and we laughed
together we lived
and for that I am greatful
for all you did give

Time alone so dark and cold my
spirit fades my body grows old
Should I wish this pain away
or should I ask for it to stay
Looked to you my guiding light
but your fire no longer burns bright
Pouring tears fall from my eyes
no more hellos no more goodbyes

What an amazing journey we
must all embark upon
What a remarkable adventure
this trek through life we are on

Though we each choose are own
path on which to travel
We need first ask ourselves if
the trail is true or not

The decision will be tuff
perhaps leaving you in dismay
But if you pick yourself up
you just might conquer that
which is in your way

It is said that many have spent
so much time searching for the map
that some how would show them the way
only to get lost and led astray

so keep pushing foward each and
every day and soon you might relize
that your true path was only
two steps away

The future My future
Your future Who knows
what wars will be waged
within our own souls

Hope lost from lives taken
no room left for salvation
The terror The termoil
The hate of a nation

Opinions of one spread
wide like a cancer
leaving us empty in
the search for an answer

But if we stay true to
what makes us great
no longer will they have
the power to dictate
