A Truckers Plea

Seven hundred miles drove all night
4am can't see the stars covered by clouds
6am must be their with two hours to spare
lay down close my eyes, knock on my door
hear a voice
driver open your doors
slide your tandems
take dock 76
lay back down close my eyes
knock on my door hear a voice
driver your wanted inside
you got a mess spilt your load
re-stack it sweep the glass
smell of pickles filled the air
five hours later twenty six broken jars
fifty two cases smashed

Now I'm in a pickle
no sleep weary eyes
was cruisen down a highway at 65
traffic slowed came to a stop
everybody's going home
I have 700 miles to drive
3 hours in traffic put me behind
can't take a break
must be their at 6am or get a fine
traffic is moving breaking free
takes a while get to 65

It's a beautiful day I should be okay
out of nowhere car changes lanes
cuts in front of me
hits their brakes
for an exit they must take
I can't stop with 40 tons
look in mirrors the coast is clear
swerve my truck to miss his butt
with that load of pickles

don't cut us off give us room
now it's 11am waiting for a new load
with no sleep and weary eyes.

wildfire

blowing wind changing directions
fiery of flames running wild
escaping the orange glow
fleeing to higher ground
fresh air can't be found
burning eyes dark sky
a nest in a tree
new borns learning to fly
falling to the ground
in the flames of fiery.
memmories are scortched
in a burning house
no one can escape
burning ground
fallen trees
smoke in the air
no one can breathe
loss of life
so hard too see
from a cigerette
thrown out a window

About this poem:
wildfires can and should be prevented throwing lit cigs out the window is just only one of the many ways humans are careless.
just think before you do or don't do.

Just horrible

Bright lights loud voices
fell a sleep hit a tree
they took you away
laid me on the ground
blood on my face
closed eyes was no surprise
now i'm fighten for my life
here a voice is that you
wake up dear i hear
here is a rag
wipe your face
it's just a scratch
walken in your sleep again
you hit a door
fell on your core
now get back to bed

Voices (sequel to fright night)

We found a kitten
kept for our own
years later she found a tom
kittens she had of her own
sound a sleep me and my ex wife
door was shut
open just a crack one night
woke up just a little
heard voices in the other room
woke her up
listened to the voices
in the other room
a light was on
got up opened
the door little more
grabed my belt
that's all i had
walked down the hall
saw the tv was on
two on the couch
three on the floor
with one kitten paw
on the remote control

About this poem:
this is a true story. scared the heck out of us at first. still makes me scared the first moments of hearing the voices and seeing a light on in the living room. all of the kittens watching tv. i went into the kitchen got a bottle of whip cream and sprayed them all. they loved that. kept them from watching tv the rest of that night tho.

fright night.

sitting here one night
thinking how to make one fright
i was married one time
house full of kittens
late one night i was well asleep
woke up in a cold sweat you see
the fright came up on to me
but then realized this was just a dream.

ocean in the sky

blue sky
a cloud or two
land below
river runnen through
heat of the sun
melting ice
vaporing water
clouds getting larger
sky's turning darker
wind is blowing
clouds are roaming
gravity it's decoding
covering a blue sky
mist in the air
a drop on my hair
soaking wet
a minute it took
from the ocean in the sky

clouds defying gravity should be one of the lifes mysteries, i think.
all clouds are is evaporated water. so technically it's an ocean in the sky.

unwritten text

can you decipher the unwritten text
on a soldiers face
from the lines the creases make
can you read the text from
the wrinkles he expressed
it cannot be put in words
from a soldiers face
a soldiers day
seeing a grenade
blowing his friends to bits
can you read his face
that words cannot say
being shot in a leg
he defends a country he loves
wrinkles on his face tells a story
about love to his land
you won't see it in a written text
which only a soldiers wrinkles can express

BUCKY

There's a guy named Bucky
he went to the store to get lucky
walken down the street found a
turtle named ducky
he stood on the street
and got all yucky
he went back home and ate
ducky turtle soup
cause his name was bucky.
he forgot all about getting lucky

Miracle Cure (scared straight)

don't stop light it up
here's a miracle cure
no hell no spells
no withdrawls guaranteed
millions of people are cured
you'll quit like millions of people did
smoke it up
black coat your lungs
smoke in your veins
don't worry cough it up
just tar in your heart
replace it don't be afraid
smoke four packs a day
you'll quit like millions of people did
now you got cancer but don't worry
we got a miracle cure
light it up
coat your lungs
smoke in your veins
tar in your heart
now your on your last breath
get some paper
crinkle it up
light it up one more time
now your eyes are closed one last time
air escapes your body
arm falls in that crinkled paper
that lit cigerette
burning paper
ashes you turn
see you quit and cancer free
like millions of people did
it's the miracle cure

food for thought

had an egg with
salt and pepper
put it on a piece of bread
it was kinda good
wasn't even breakfast
had a glass of milk
made my skin smooth as silk
now it's dinner
i know its gonna be good
cause i'm gonna eat that
cow and hen
with salt and pepper.
