can you decipher the unwritten text on a soldiers face from the lines the creases make can you read the text from the wrinkles he expressed it cannot be put in words from a soldiers face a soldiers day seeing a grenade blowing his friends to bits can you read his face that words cannot say being shot in a leg he defends a country he loves wrinkles on his face tells a story about love to his land you won't see it in a written text which only a soldiers wrinkles can express

About this poem:
a soldier puts his life and well being in front of the country in which he lives it doesn't matter what country this refers to everybody who defends their own country in which they live has an untold story written in the wrinkles on the face.
Niah Thank you so kindly. I know so many storys that go untold and many man who been in that situation don't talk about that time in their lives. but it is well shown in the crases that the experience has done to them. a for the soldiers.. in america the gov. gives purple hearts for the injury's they suffer in a war.
Hi PinkP.. thank you. for reading. so many untold stories that will never be told. even hollywood tries to portray it but even the vets say they can't get it right.
thank you it's not about who will listen. these soldiers had such a dramatic experience that what they witness alot of them never talk about it. I know for my uncle it took him 40years to talk about what happened when he fought in the vietnam war. and alot of them their minds are so messed up with post tramatic syndrome that go mentally crazy and they are never the same after an experience like that. so one way to know is to read the lines in the face wich i believe says alot.

kickit I understand and appreciate your point. Fighting a war must be a horrifying trauma (From Greek t???µa = "a wound",) known only by those who were there. Thank you for pointing at the wrinkles.

Kickit I have been pondering all afternoon what to say about your words, and I can't find anything except emotion. It's just too moving!
pilgramageoflove Your Welcome and Thank You. We can only imagine what those folks have gone through and that just wouldn't even come close to the reality. kickit.

A great write Kickit...I don't think anyone can really know the emotions of soldiers on the battlefront except those that have been there. There will always be that unwritten text.
This is the first time I post on something and I want to say thank you on behalf of myself and my brothers in arms over seas your poem was touchin to read and expressed some of the things Ive heard and seen and if there was a good thing I could say about war its the love between the soldiers fighting there.
You are Welcome Soldier and to the many soldiers that are overseas.
When I read your comment I had to take a step back and pause for a minute.
that is such a heart felt words you posted. Thank You for that post. and Thank You for your service and too every soldier that has defended this great counry of ours. the price to defend and fight on an individuals soul is greater then any one of us could imagine that has not seen a battle field.
