A Poets Challenge For all to join

I have came up with 2 starting lines that I really enjoy but some how my imagination is in idol right now.I am asking the poets of this corner to finish this poem using these 2 starting lines is the only rule.

A thousand steps
walking a crooked fence

Lets see what you great poets can do with these two, I believe magnificent lines. Look forward to what you have come up with.
