collection of one liners

The cat ate the cheese that's inside the mouse

A snake ate a shoe with a foot still inside

Sat in a chair that was electrifying

There is wire in the yard but her name is not Barb

He was hung over laying down

He called it quits when he got fired

The grass died when it got cut

Sparky started it caught the whole damn thing on fire

you got mail, go outside and check it
I go back outside and check it
so I go outside and check it
why you check your mail ever ten minutes neighbor ask
the dang computer say's I got mail. so far it's lying to me.

man's destruction coming to a planet near you

close your eyes
rise above
fifty feet off the ground
seperate yourself
from a world that were in
look down at whats going around
can you see the madness
disrespect torture
of the earth
and all it's beauty
can you feel the anger
the tension in the air
what are we doing to each other
in the world we know.
look up at the stars
what is it you see
the moon, clouds, rock
dust why are we in such awwe
of the outter space
is it because were so small
I do not think this is it
here on earth man thinks
he is the biggest of all
why is it we need to go to mars
so we can destroy it to
as we done too the earth
how many planets does man
want to destroy until
he is satisfied do you not see
mars is not a waste land
it is beauty in its own
for the earth was also at one time
until man made it his own
just wait all you planets
for man is on his way
too destroy you,
just ask the
moon.

About this poem:
how can we expect to go to other planets if we can not treat our own planet with care. it is like you destroying or making a mess of your own home and going to your friends home and treating it in the same respect. look at the garbage the astronouts throw out the space shuttle into space and the garbage they have left on the moon and now mars. and who knows what other planets are next in line. for our own greed of satisfaction.

She is right

I came
you saw
she went
he left
she knew
he told
they had
she left
he saw
you went
she told
I came
they knew
she was
he saw
they left
you didn't
even know
she was
right

AFTER DARK

touching your soul
dying hand is slow
drowning desires
in the flooded gates
of hell
darkening day
tourcherous night
feeling the pain
in the suction
of life
howling of the moon
deepens the cry
templets used to
write and amuse
broken glass
darkens the blood
silence falls victim
to a rising sun
alarm bells
wakens the dead
for I will take cover
till the moon rises
again

About this poem:
the insane system of man being slaves to our own demise. tourcherous pain at night comes from a brutal day of being slaves to the mans own created system of life. think life would be far easier if we were living in a different created system like grow your own build your own. whatever happened to that way of life. is that not how it should be is that not how it started out too be long ago.

date with destiny

caught a glimpse in the deep bush
glowing eyes of red in the distance
silence of several days
unheard noise coming from the woods
not even a leaf swaying in the wind
for there is not a gentle breeze
a look back a jack rabbit running across the field
not even a butterfly in the air
moon is visible in the blue sky
an eerie feeling not a soul in sight
climbing down a mountain
there is a blinding light
I cannot even see I fallen in a tree
a distant noise coming near
slight breeze picking up speed
sound of blades do not know
where it is coming from
high above a shadow being cast down
bushes being cut to the ground
I am being pulled away by the blades
I have not much time
this old man has got a date tonight
I am gonna be chopped alive
for I am just a dust mite
in this old grey beard

a truckers emptiness

driving a truck
late at night
on the road
most of the month
all alone
nobody to call
nobody to share
country road
car in a driveway
lights are on
driving by a house
with a mom and dad
daughter and son
eating dinner in
the evening sun
driving alone
grab a burger
eat alone
continue to drive
on this country road
driving by homes
filled with family
of love
driving by looking in
wondering where is
my home my family
of love

About this poem:
so many times driving by homes just thinking how these people really don't realize what they have a home and a family wife or husband to come home every night. just all the days of being on the road where truckers don't have any of that. some days it is sooo depressing not having this.

set free

sitting in a wicker chair
old and gray
running through the trenches
of yesterday
marks left in the dirt
of times in past
morning sun warming a face
bearded grey blown off leg
bloody trail left to die
cup of coffee taking a sip
blowing wind pushes it away
for a memory will forever
be in the past
sitting in that wicker chair
taking a last breath
old and decaying lifeless body
gone to rest
free of sin
death
has set him free

About this poem:
the old reminiscing of the past of the former life they had in their youth before the last breath. when you die all of your sins die with you it is in death that we pay for our sins.

true story; couple days ago

cruising down a two lane
doing 62 in a 55
just got empty my
18 wheeler
sunny day
not a thing can go wrong
was a little ways away
for the car in front
saw his brake lights
for I knew I couldn't stop
he hit them hard
had not got a choice
looked around what can I do
turned his signal on
and hit them even harder
was on him in a second
no place to go on this two lane
couldn't pass on the left
he would turned into me
had no choice
went to the right
was either him
or me in a ditch
i chose the ditch
maybe I had a chance
not much room
a 5ft shoulder
the car went to the middle
just a little
gave me just enough room
for me to take that shoulder
I avoided him and the ditch
don't ask me how
an angel must been watching
for sure he/she woud been killed
only takes a second
for things to go wrong
even on a beautiful day

About this poem:
highway 33 in wisconsin. I was far enough back I had plenty of time to figure my way out, go through my choices but not enough time to stop. when i took that narrow just a little room to the right i was right next to him at this time he still didn't make his left turn, only until my tractor was even with him on the right. would been right through that car. don't matter how far we are back, don't slam your brakes on give us plenty of notice on these two lane roads. before you hit your brakes or just flash your brake lights once or twice real quick to let us know your about to turn. or something like that.

Shaded

perplexed shadow
has a paddle
up the creek
on a two by four
that was weak
faster and faster
two by four broke
drifting down the creek
the shadow disappeared
never to be seen again.

Elo's challenge

blood pumping out of my heart
into my vains steam rolling out
of my ears and into the air

gravity pulling the lava down
seeping out of the pores of the wall
heat rising coming out of the top
the lava is about to blow

ash covered window pain
for the rain will wash it all away
