Making of a Masterpiece (a poets poem)

thinking of thoughts a poets verse
cellar doors on a bottom floor
a poet looks deep in his/her soul
for words never used in a poetry's verse
as if opening doors to a mansions cellar
on the bottom floor
words escape a poets soul
from a pen the ink flows
on a papers line words flow
escaping the depth of a soul
like the wind blowing the dust
through the open cellar doors
words comen together
on the papers top
flowing into a verse
like a nude body in
satin sheets rolling on the floor
a poem is formed put in light
from the depths of a poets soul

country or city

hay bails shirt tails
rolling hills
sky's blue river runnen through
wheat grass farm land
jack rabbits and a deer or two
horse riders cowboy hats
country boy city girl
heartland desert sand
city lights ocean view
blowing horns flipping fingers
traffic jams smelly cabs
skyscrappers and party crashers
suntans body surfers
panhandlers jaywalkers
tower clocks crowded malls
which one do you choose

late for work

I have a phone
I wanted a comb
I'm in a rush
just wanted too brush
I am late
my foot off the brake
blowing the horn
waving a finger
I need to chill
but i'm having a thrill
looked at the clock
damn I grabed the wrong socks
get to work the doors are locked
must not be late damn just realized
it's sunday morning.

Dreaming Of

time is left standing still
a moment in silence
deep in thought
what would life be with the?
a question to ponder
am i here to wonder?
holding my own hand
smelling the open sea
two birds flying side by side
midnight strikes; alone tonight
close my eyes dancing in the wind
waves splashing a shore
with the moon in your eyes
your smile lifts the sky.
like two birds flying side by side
dancing in the wind.
deep in thought
this is what life aught to be
open my eyes turn on the light
whats on tv tonight.

Natures Best

A snow man falling
one flake at a time
A rain drop falling
in a melted pool of ice
Sun rays beaming on
the white grass
A frozen river
drifting down stream
A green leaf turning
golden brown
drifting to the ground.
A cool sunday morning
turns into a hot monday evening.
The dancing boats in a bay
with the ocean waves.
the cut grass once
stood tall
blowing in the wind
a gentle breeze.
stop and listen
nature is at it's best.

The End.

I'm in a trap
It's been a blast
i knew it wouldn't last
i have to go
if you don't know
this is my last
I have no way
my time is up
i;ll be living my life
as my first post says
i can't explain
i'm a shamed
it has a grip
it won't let go.
i have lost
never to be the same

So close

I saw you on the street
in the cities lights
you were so pretty
I followed you
couldn't reach you
lost in the crowd
wind was blowing
swirled you around
I was in love
the moment I saw you
you floated like a butterfly
on a hot sunny day
how I needed you
I was so thirsty
somebody else took you
gone forever
my mouth was dry
don't worry
I'll find another buck

Burned Out

Looked in your eyes
window too your soul
candles burn
eternal flames glow
holding your hand
your heart and soul
loved you long ago
in my heart and soul
the candles burned out
long ago

Explain To Me Please

We have come so far
here we are one hundred years
buildings high as the sky so it seems
trains planes automobils
freeways and highways and country roads
robots that tell us what too do
rovers on mars men walking on the moon
cell phones i-pods what to do
internet i can talk to you
a second around the world
ever thought why were so great?
generations before us six thousand years
we did this in one hundred years
Is it me or am I missing something?

Thoughtful Thoughts

I am new I read a few
before I posted my view
compared too you
I was scared so many of you
So good writes
enjoyed them all I read
so many views love and hate
respect and disgrace
I was curious on how mine would do
I posted one or two then I knew
your thoughtful thoughts
the comments you made.
I embraced all of you.
Thank You.

Say Thank You!!!

Were given life air to breathe
water to drink food to eat
sun light to keep warm
moon light to keep us out of the dark
star lights flickering above.
we have earth too call home.
we are needy we want more
all we can say is
Thank God IT'S Friday (TGIF)
six days left behind
no mention the other kind
thank God for life everday
We Breathe.
THANK YOU GOD!!!!!
